Oilmen's Club Taphouse & Grill — Restaurant in Alberta

My first visit to the Oilmens for a birthday gathering. So a large group sitting together. We were told we could NOT have individual tabs?????? Drinks & food were plunked on the table almost as an annoyance- no proper service communication whatsoever. We had to guess which orders were ours. We even saw the waitresses SMELLING the food to guess who it was supposed to go to. Orders were so messed up. Things came to the table not ordered long after most of us were all done while several orders were missed altogether. Time to pay- omg what a shit show. First to even have the waitress give us the time of day waiting at the counter. She put the orders in lumps as everyone ordered at a time. Along with about a dozen individual tabs. As the last 4 of our group left- she wanted us to pay the entire lot (everyone else paid already-a mess for each one of them) I had to argue endlessly that we would NOT PAY for anything other than what we individually ordered & told her we should not be expected to pay for tabs she had no idea where they came from. Chatting with several other patrons- they said it’s always a shit show there. Why do they go back??? There nowhere else to go apparently!!! Not for me- I will...

Stopped in today for lunch. The food was fast and fresh. I got a side salad and chicken quesadilla. The salad as was fresh and a big size for a side. The quesadilla was crispy, full of melty cheese chicken, really fresh peppers and vegetables. It was without a doubt the best quesadilla I've ever had. I will definitely be back thanks for the great lunch. Update. I've been back a few times and it's still a solid lunch choice. I had the fish and chips and my co worker had perogies and sausage. It's home style cooking. I will definitely continue to eat here when...

Poor experience. We came at end of lunch rush and as a result got slow service. Half of our group had an afternoon meeting to attend. So when we indicated we had to go and they should cancel our order, they offered big discounts for our troubles.

The other half of our crew who had the same slow service as us got no discount at all.
