Subway — Restaurant in Alberta

I don’t really give out 1 star reviews. This place is probably between 1-2 stars. 2 would be generous.

Stopped here at 4pm on a Wednesday. One table of customers and a steady trickle of customers coming and going but wouldn’t consider it busy. There were 2 sandwich artists (ha) working.

The place itself is somewhat shabby - but whatevs, it’s just a quick fast food place right? Still, it’s unappetizing looking at brown water stains on the ceiling. Also, do the ceiling fans need to be so strong in the middle of winter? More importantly, EVERY table & seat was dirty and oddly crowded together. Both trash receptacles were full, not overflowing but soon-to-be. Womens/handicap bathroom (also where the baby changing station is) had a DIRTY garbage can with a lid that you have to MANUALLY lift up but they don’t have paper towels. Zero sense there. The garbage can should either be open/no lid or have a foot pedal. Or you know, be visibly clean at the very least.

But my biggest gripe is the fact that the wheeled tray tower of baked bread was standing halfway out in the aisle to the bathroom. It didn’t have a cover. Anyone could touch, cough or sneeze on the bread.

They also didn’t have the sidekicks (small sandwiches). Not sure if they just sold out or it was unavailable today or they just don’t carry it at all because when I tried to order, the apathetic gentlemen behind the counter simply said “we don’t have it.”

Other reviewers are correct, this is ACTUALLY the worst subway I’ve ever been to….and it’s kind of a low bar already.

In short (or long), just don’t come here. There are far better local places just a couple...

Just gonna share and experience, went there first time made my sub perfect no issues amazing service went there the next day got two subs, when he was making my sub I asked to not have the piece of brown lettuce in my sub and than when I said little onions he put tons and he had to take half off than I said olives and he put maybe ten olives and I said more and he said no more ( “yesterday I got more so pls put more on”) than I said sauce and he put too little so I said a little more and he smothered it with three very thick lines.. it wasn’t edible so I went back for a refund and he talked a lot and I couldn’t understand what he was saying as he had a very strong accent got the refund and left only to be chased out yelled at saying the cops are called ( that he could say clearly) I didn’t understand and his coworker explained he refunded for both sandwiches and not just one and I had to repay for the other one,

That guy should not have a job he got fed up with making my sub how I wanted it (that’s the whole point of subway ) and than ruined my sub than threatened to call the cops on me bc he can’t just refund my sandwich and had to refund for both and make it complicated and can’t clearly...

Just ONCE id like to order a sandwich and not have to beg for more ingredients. Grabbed the steak and bacon, it's supposed to come with two scoops of steak...barely got 1.5. Lettuce, got a pinch and had to ask for more. Cucumbers, had to ask several times to have more than three. I'm 90% sure the lone employee is under direction to be as stingy as possible with stuff because every time I order from this location, it's like pulling teeth to get what I ordered. I'm paying 20 dollars for a meal, which I noticed none of the items on the board had prices... None. Leads me to believe they also aren't charging the standard subway price for things. More than likely up charging because no one knows the price of the sandwich they order. Won't be going back as it's a hassle to get your food anyways with the ridiculous wait times, why go somewhere where you get charged for more for less? Shame because I actually enjoy subway, just not from...
