We spotted The Rum Runner on our summer road trip through the mountains and immediately knew we wanted to stop there for supper on our way back through. When we came back through Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs was on and it was PACKED! The hostess did an amazing job of making room for us and everyone else who came in as soon as possible! Every server was absolutely run off their feet, but they kept dancing, moving, and smiling while they all worked there a$$e$ of serving and absolutely full pub of patrons. The service was second to none, and the kitchen staff did a great job of pushing through and getting orders up. With how busy it was in there, we were even more amazed to receive our monstrous burgers cooked and prepared to perfection. They were plated beautifully with crisp cool veggies and hot fresh toppings -- even our sides were perfect. We had perfect food, drinks, and service. I can not say enough good things -- the Anniversary Burger was the BEST BURGER I HAVE EVER HAD. My husband had the Cowboy Burger and also said it was the BEST BURGER HE HAS EVER HAD. I know I make a damn good burger, but I am telling you mine don't come close in comparison, lol. Just go! Pick a burger, order a drink, and enjoy!

We enjoyed the rustic atmosphere at The Rum Runner - filled with a rich family history from an old canoe to the photos covering the wood walls to the numerous stuffed animals and an old cabinet filled with antique housewares this venue was filled with a family’s memories. Our server was friendly and attentive and the food definitely didn’t disappoint! The sizes of the servings were sufficient to say the least! I enjoyed the huge pc of fish on my plate with an old english beer batter coating that took me back to my childhood! The slaw and fries were the compliment! My sister ordered a personal pizza that could have served 4! And they didn’t bat an eye when my son and his girlfriend ordered a pizza with different sides! Next visit we’ll definitely bring our canine friends and sit out on the enclosed canine-friendly patio! Thank you Rum Runner for a wonderful dining experience-we will be back and we’re bringing friends!

This is an amazing stop along the highway on a long car journey, perfect for a rest and sit down meal if you have the time. The ambiance of the main room immediately draws you in with a rustic feel, and they have a dog-friendly patio (weather permitting) and a large room downstairs for events. The price is moderate to steep, but they make up for it with enormous portions and delicious food. We got the beef au jus and yorkshire puddings to start, then the black n blue burger, and the chefs pie, and were blown away by the amount. We were told it was a new menu, just chanflged today and the new items were delicious. Our waitress was working solo with a full room, and nonetheless she was friendly, quick, and attentive. Really glad we decided to stop here on our journey, and hopefully will use as a halfway stop again in the future.

I never write reviews but this was SO bad I had to write one. Right off the bat we weren’t greeted and it felt like we were annoying the ladies working. They did accommodate us as we wanted to sit in a booth, so I guess they get a point for that. I am keto, and my boyfriend was eating low carb today (usually keto too).. We know what we can and can’t eat and always order what we’re familiar with, as to not trouble our server. I ordered a burger (no bun, no ketchup) which was what came to the table luckily and I asked for a house salad on the side. The food took 45 minutes when there was almost no one in the restaurant, and when it came it was underwhelming to say the least. My salad didn’t come out with the rest, and when I finally asked for the second time, it had croutons on it. I asked what the salad was and she said “a basic house salad”. As a server you should be aware that if I can’t eat a bun, I probably can’t eat croutons, and should mention that your “house” salad has corn and berries in it. A good house salad, however I was unable to eat it and would’ve liked another option. My boyfriend ordered a quesadilla, of which they completely gave us the wrong one (beans and goat cheese instead of chicken) and not only does he hate beans, he can’t eat them. She also never asked if he wanted a side when it was an option. It took us around 10 minutes to get the servers attention and finally the food runner came over and took it away. There was no apology, they acted as if we had done something wrong. He didn’t want another one, although no one actually asked him. We had to wait another 10 minutes to get the server to come over to tell her we didn’t want another. There was no compensation on our bill, we waited 10+ minutes after the bills to get the debit machines, and we were never offered any condiments for the other people eating fries and burgers. They also brought our to go order when the rest of the food came, so it was soggy when we left. I’m a server myself and during tough times like these I’m much more understanding, however when I paid 50$ for two burgers I expect better service than that especially when the restaurant is dead. The table next to us had to flag down a server to get beverages as well. It also was unpleasant that only the food runner was wearing a mask, and no gloves were used to take our dishes away. I used to come here all the time when I was a local and hyped it up but sadly the service was TERRIBLE. Ashely needs to take a smaller section and have some manners when having guests in her section. Kitchen made huge mistakes. A waste of money and an...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Rum Run Runners, and I must say that the service was absolutely abysmal. From start to finish, it was clear that the staff had no regard for customer satisfaction or basic hospitality.

First and foremost, the hostess greeted us with a dismissive attitude and seemed completely uninterested in assisting us. We were left standing at the entrance for what felt like an eternity before she finally bothered to seat us. It was a frustrating and unwelcoming start to the evening.

Once we were seated, the problems only multiplied. Our server took an excessive amount of time to come to our table, and when they did, they seemed utterly disinterested in taking our orders. We had to repeatedly flag them down just to get a simple drink order placed, and even then, they made no effort to provide any recommendations or assistance with the menu.

When our food finally arrived, it was clear that the kitchen staff was just as lackluster as the rest of the team. The food was good but it came back wrong the first time...the second time one of are dishes has a hair in it. It was as if no care or attention was given to the preparation or quality of the food. It was a disappointing.

To make matters worse, our server seemed to disappear for long stretches of time, leaving us without any way to address the issues with our meal. We attempted to get the attention of other staff members, but they seemed equally disinterested in helping. It was a frustrating and disheartening experience, as we felt completely ignored and disregarded.

Finally, when it came time to pay the bill, we had to endure yet another ordeal. The server brought us the wrong check and seemed annoyed when we asked for the correct one. It was as if they couldn't be bothered to double-check their work or provide even a basic level of competence in their duties.

Overall, my experience at Rum Run Runners was nothing short of a disaster. The service was abysmal from start to finish, with a lackluster and disinterested staff that seemed more concerned with their own personal affairs than the satisfaction of their customers. The food was mediocre at best and the overall experience left me feeling incredibly disappointed. I would strongly advise anyone considering dining at Rum Run Runners to think twice and seek out a different establishment with better service...
