The scenic highway I recently explored was an absolute delight, offering a plethora of homestay options that enhanced the overall experience. The picturesque route wound through lush forests, alongside glistening rivers, and past breathtaking vistas. What truly set this journey apart were the homestays, each offering a unique charm and hospitality that added a personal touch to the adventure.
One standout homestay was nestled amidst a pristine woodland, providing a serene escape from the bustling world. The cozy cabin-style accommodation was impeccably maintained, and the hosts went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Waking up to the sound of birdsong and enjoying homemade breakfasts with ingredients sourced from their garden was an unforgettable experience.
Further along the highway, we encountered a charming village with a variety of homestay options. From traditional cottages to modern guesthouses, the village had something for every traveler's taste. We opted for a rustic cottage, which allowed us to immerse ourselves in the local culture. Our hosts were not only gracious but also shared their stories and local traditions, making it a culturally enriching stop on our journey.
As we continued our drive, we stumbled upon a homestay perched on a hill, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. The sunset from this vantage point was truly breathtaking, and the hospitality of our hosts was equally impressive. They organized a bonfire under the star-studded sky, creating a memorable evening of laughter and storytelling.
In conclusion, this scenic highway with its abundant homestay options was a remarkable adventure. The homestays added an authentic and heartwarming dimension to the trip, allowing us to connect with the local culture and natural beauty of the region. Whether you seek solitude in the woods, cultural immersion in a village, or panoramic vistas, this highway offers a diverse range of homestay experiences that will leave you with...
Read moreVery good experience here with one glaring blip. Came to the Cafe to sample the well-reputed cinnamon sticky buns. They were indeed delicious! Terrific dough, texture and chew. Cream cheese icing was lovely and well balanced without being too sweet. These ARE pricey, but worth it, if at least as a once in awhile treat.
Ham sandwich was good too; ended up eating it the next day, grilled panini style. Overall, very well made.
Now for the 'con'; the latte was the WORST latte I've had in the past 10 years. The young lady staffing the cafe was very polite and a treat to deal with, but I'm not convinced she knows how to make a proper latte. It was INCREDIBLY milky, and the milk tasted burnt. Yes, lattes have milk, but the ratio was way off to the point I questioned whether there was any espresso in the drink. Zero coffee taste at all. Honestly...I poured it out. Was already on my way to my destination (I was on the go and in a hurry) so I didn't return it.
Overall, 4 out of 5 stars, based on the food. Take note though; a small latte, 2 sticky buns, cream cheese icing (charged extra for this) and a sandwich came out to 30 bucks! Not the cheapest food for a light morning snack!
I'll come back likely, but I am also motivated to try other places in the...
Read moreThis establishment was recommended to us through friends. Stopped on a Saturday about 11 am. Signs on the door said cursing and vulgar languages I’ll not be tolerated? This is a bakery and coffee shop, not a shady bar. That definitely caught our attention and many others that were in line for pastries and coffee. After ordering and waiting for 2 coffees and 2 cookies we soon realized why the signs are up. Staff issues for sure, I do realize that most small business are having trouble getting qualified staff but if the Owners can’t be available on a Saturday to manage these people then maybe close on those days. We were looking forward to getting some cinnamon buns but they looked a day old for sure so we passed. Coffee was ok but that comes from a local supplier so can’t give props there. I’ll try it again another time we head out that way and see, I...
