Crowsnest Cafe & Fly Shop — Restaurant in Alberta

Just wanted to give Alex a shout out for the great service and expertise I received yesterday. Have driven past this absolute gem of a shop for year's now and never had the time to stop. I was greeted instantly by I believe Alex and whom ever was working the kitchen. Asked if he had any Blue winged Olive's and he directed me too them. I mentioned how I felt the Crow was a little slower than recent years and that the hopper's hadn't been working still that great. He steered me to some other stimulator patterns that had been working well and assured me the hopper season will be great when it hits. Thank you Alex I caught some beautiful fish on your fly's and unfortunately lost a massive Brown as the 5x just didn't hold up...

This place is a hidden gem! My family comes through the Crowsnest pass every few years and this is a MUST stop for me.

Everything is house made, fresh and delicious. I love that nothing is from a package and the soup isn’t overloaded with salt. Sandwiches are loaded with fresh ingredients . Healthy meets delicious! The menu is narrowed down to a few items and so far everything I’ve tasted is amazing. I notice that there is usually only one bakery item offered, which is a draw for me because that means it’s fresh and tasty. The focus here is on making one good item opposed to 10 so-so items. My motto is if I eat out it needs to be better than what I cook at home, this place meets that...

The staff was wonderful, the service top notch, and the food was very tasty.

When it was discovered that they had run out of the soup we had ordered, they were very apologetic and gave us other choices that they supplied at the same price as the soup...they even threw in dessert for free. We tried to pay extra, but they would not allow it.

Their coffee is very tasty too.

We returned later for coffee as we were leaving the area and the clerk bypassed the tip screen on the debit machine and wouldn't let me tip once again.

Also, deer like to eat apples from the tree out front - qeven they know this...
