Woody's Pub & Patio — Restaurant in Alberta

Gonna keep this short and 💯.... I'm easy to please I'm hard to displease

That said, the food at Woody's was easily the worst meal I've had in at least a decade. Nothing had even remotely close to a whiff of flavor -- A can of La Croix is more interesting (and intense) than the food here.

Don't believe me? Alright bet. My wife and I went to hike Tent Ridge the next day and ran into group of people who joined us for a while. The meal at Woody's came up in conversation and they also couldn't believe how bland the food was (between all of us we had covered a wide swath of the menu).

Yikes. Woody's, if you see this please understand I want nothing from you or even an apology. This is just a PSA for anyone hungry in the Kananaskis area to not make the same mistake. Just lick your arm after you finish a hike -- you'll find more...

The pub was severely understaffed on the first night we visited, leaving only one or two servers scrambling when our group arrived. My coworker waited half an hour to receive the coffee he ordered and half of our table had to wait a long time after food started arriving before their orders arrived as well. I think that can only be attributed to the fact that it was one server trying to serve a dozen of us while the rest of the pub was also bustling with activity. We were a group attending a large conference at the lodge, so I would've thought that the staff in charge of the reservations would've given the pub a head's up so that they could've had a sufficient number of people working. I ordered the reuben sandwich and the underside was already soggy...

This place is incredible. It has a comfortable atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff, and the special beer of the night is always on point. The vibe is cool and relaxed, and it's a nice place to hang out and read while having some beers, or to come hang out with friends. I absolutely recommend this if you're passing through, or in town for a few nights. I was in Kananaskis for three nights, and had dinner here all three of them. It was impeccable, and the staff made it irreplaceable. I'll remember this as one of the best finds on my 4k...
