Landriault Snack Bar — Restaurant in Alfred and Plantagenet

I've always heard great things about the food at this restaurant when I first moved here, and my co-workers would often order from there. However, I will never order from this establishment because of the owner's overall attitude towards potential clients.

As a neighbour, I witnessed an altercation this week between the owner Bruce and a young lad, who could not have been more than 18 years-old. The young lad had parked his vehicle in the restaurant's driveway overnight, which he clearly was in the wrong. Bruce got in the young lad's face and proceeded to shout at him for a few minutes.

While I understood Bruce's side of things (there had been a snowstorm the night before, which prevented the restaurant's snow removal team to clean the driveway), this was a first time offence on the young lad's part and did not merit such a hostile response. On top of that, Bruce then told his snow removal guy that if he ever saw the young lad's car parked there again, to essentially plow the car out of the driveway.

My husband and I enjoy our Poutines and better love traveling and trying different places.

We stumbled across this place after recently moving to the Albert area. I would not recommend this place. Here is why with some photos.

They do not offer debit although the have an atm it does charge $3.00 transaction.

I ordered 3 small poutine and small fries although the small fries is average size the small poutine is the size of a small gravey no joke please see photos.

I have also included Potato Heads mean and prices and size to see how and why I am blown away that I paid 23.00 for my order and surprised but what I got compared to what I get in Niagara Falls Ontario.

The gentleman serving me and cook were both very nice. My food however was not at the standard I have had there before. The poutine was cold, I didn't realize a small poutine was really a mini snack size now and the cheese did not seem to be st albert curd, it didn't squeek like st albert curds do and didn't have that great taste. I was very disappointed with my poutine and I will likely not return. I will say the price for my combo was very reasonable so it should have raised a flag about the p portion size but I have ordered there before and don't recall a small poutine...
