When I walked through the door, I was met by over 100 little children surrounding Jaden, trying to get their food. My boy J had those children in line! Why would I take a parenting course, well, I could learn from Jaden.
I was like baby baby baby baby baby baby baby always be mine baby baby baby baby baby baby baby baby. Oh, I thought you always be my.
Oops, sorry. Anyways…
Did I mention there were over 100 people? Well, boy did the staff ever clutch up! I’ve never seen so many hard working minimum wage employees in one fine restaurant.
After playing with my lovely kids, I decided to order a delicious big Mac that would make me lose my hunger and then when I ordered my lovely big Mac, I noticed that it was as cold as Amherst on the day I ordered (10 degrees FYI), but that’s fine because the Big Mac was still fire! I didn’t tell Jaden about the cold big Mac, but if I did, I’m sure he would’ve given it a big hug to warm it up.
My presumption would be that this eloquent establishment would have some respect for a food connoisseur such as myself. But I was blown away when the employees gave my new child friend a bonus cone on their iced cream! (they have celiac).
Smoothie good.
The ambiance was really cool. The kids were being a bit noisy but they were cool. I played with them like I said before. Jaden was a master in economics so I talked to him about it and also there was a German girl there who kept annoying me for some reason which I don’t know why but she called me, Brazilian Brazilian Brazilian and also there was a really cool guy there called Jon, he was buying avocados for his bald head. He was bald, but...
Read moreI’m not sure what happened at this McDonalds today but it must have been busy. Our food wasn’t made with love (junior chickens had no lettuce and sundae was overfilled and leaked onto the tray and made my hands sticky after I touched it). Forgotten lettuce and a bit too much ice cream was not enough to warrant complaint from me.
Other than that it was your typical McDonald’s. Fast and just as you expect.
However, we elected to sit in the play area as we have a toddler who decided she only wanted to run and scream today (why are these play areas rare these days at McDonalds???). I immediately regretted this decision - but have you ever had to tell a toddler they couldn’t do something you just told them they could do? - on the floor in the playroom the bodies of the lost fries laid, with their innards smeared across the floor as a warning to other passing fries.
There were three tables: all three of them had obviously seen this same battle; which was evident by the smeared greasy fingerprints of others. Only one table wasn’t covered in garbage and old half eaten food. We were the only ones in the room at that time so we had the pick of the litter.
A friendly fly visited us mid-meal and refused to leave, despite our attempts to make it feel unwelcome. It must have escaped the prison at the cash, where it’s friends were living. When we were at the counter waiting for the food I watched several flies performing the “cell block tango” from the musical Chicago amongst the donuts.
Overall, perhaps another case of...
Read moreDue to not ever getting the chance to learn French at any time during my schooling the language barrier was a HUGE issue. I do everything possible to be respectful of the fact I'm unable to speak French yet using a translator didn't go over well. I was able to understand everything they said that wasn't very nice as translator kept translating what was being said while order was processed I'd LOVE to visit SO many places in Quebec and New Brunswick but bc of what happens when I'm unable to speak English I haven't been to the many beautiful places I'd love to visit NB is better as they're our only bilingual Province but saldy Quebec just doesn't han̈dle the language barrier easily. On top of being so embarrassed knowing what they said especially about making my order wrong just to hear me get bashed IF I brought it up. So no, I just took the wrong order and left so my daughter and I didn't get our right food order and got cheeseburgers when it should have been 2 big Mac combos we all essentially received cheeseburger happy meals kids got the boxes we got bags. I over paid huge but NO way I would point out the obvious on my receipt bc of what translator translated. So I'd only recommend going her if you speak...
