McDonald's — Restaurant in Antigonish

2023 Yet another edit two years after my initial review.

My husband and I tried the restaurant again recently. The renovations are impressive, the restaurant was spotless, the service fast and the food improved immensely. I had to update the review and increase the stars because of the big changes they made. I hope they keep it up! DQ needs some friendly competition.

2021 Not all MacDonalds are created equal. This location consistently disappoints. The food always tastes like they cooked it yesterday. What’s so hard about fresh fries - especially when it’s always busy? And HOW do you manage to make cola from a soda fountain flat? I’ve given it enough chances to know that it’s not just an off day. This is a poorly managed location aimed at saving money on staff and food.

2022 Edited to add: Original review was from summer 2021. I recently stopped by to fill a craving and see if any improvements were made. Nope. After waiting in a long line at dinner hour, the fries were ice cold and the burger wasn’t even warm enough to half-heartedly melt the...

Went this morning and ordered two meals through the mobile app and picked them up through drive thru.

Drove 20mins home to come to find out I was missing items from my order.I tried to call the McDonald’s but the phone was off the hook and went straight to voice mail. Drove back to the McDonald’s went inside and talked to manager, letting him know that I was here 20mins ago and got home and I was missing items from my order after the drive thru employees said everything was in the bag.

Then I stated I live 20 minutes away and I find it a bit ridiculous that I couldn’t get in contact with the store so I had to come back. I proceeded to ask refund, but the manger told me that he cannot refund the order and that he can give me my missing items.

I’m not one to rant but just making it aware to double check your bags...

Five star atmosphere is speculation only based on the rest. After all, I went through the drive through, but I was through that drive through six times in the span of four or five days and my order was spot on every time the staff was very friendly.And the food was fresh. As for the mcdonald's corporation itself, i'm trying to get out.I haven't got much time for. I do enjoy the food, but they're promotions.I think are absolutely ridiculous. This idea of a $1 ice cream cone only if you have the app on your phone. I think it's absolutely ridiculous. All I can think of as the ten year old little boy who got a dollar and ran to mcdonald's for an ice cream but didn't have a cell phone. So he doesn't get his ice cream. I get the promotion, but maybe use a coffee. Something adults by people who can't afford...
