Mezza Lebanese Kitchen (Antigonish) — Restaurant in Antigonish

I had chicken shawarma from here tonight, it was delicious. As good as I have had anywhere. Service was excellent, fast and employees were friendly. My only complaint is a management policy that employees working in the front are not permitted to talk to one another in their own language. While my wife and I were there two women preparing our wraps were talking to each other in their language. A lady I assume is a manager/supervisor approached the ladies and told them that they were not permitted to speak any language other then English in the front of the restaurant and could only do so in the back of the store. When it was voiced that my wife nor I were offended by these ladies communicating with one another the manager/supervisor indicated that this was the owner's policy. Really wanted this place to be good! Their wraps are unforgivably small… You know they’ve strayed from their Lebanese roots when they give you the smallest wrap in the world as a regular size. The quality and service is good, but they didn’t really know how to ask about what we wanted on the wrap either and there were so many hands in between that it was hard to ask anyone what was going on with the food if you wanted to change an ingredient or add something. The bowls were good (but small again) but I came for the wraps so I was pretty disappointed. I guess I will have to settle for the chicken shawarma wrap here in Port Hawkesbury...

Ordered a chicken plate to go. Despite it being listed on the menu, the garlic sauce and hummus were not included. Very disappointed when we set up to eat. Sauce would have helped the dry, stale pita. This location (compared to any in Halifax), had the smallest, saddest pieces of chicken. Waste of money, and still...
