Waffle Bus Stop Inc. — Restaurant in Antigonish

If I could give this place six stars I would. We landed there because of some confusion on Google maps about a different restaurant that turned out to be kind of a dive. The Waffle Bus Stop is located inside an eclectic little yellow house, a stone's throw from St. FX. As advertised the major menu items all include waffles, but not just any waffles, thick chewy waffle wraps yet. In my experience a totally unique concept. They feature two to three specials daily, but their regular menu includes such memorable items as: the Steak And Cheese waffle, the Ranch Hand Waffle I had this one (chicken, bacon, and veggies wow), and many others. You can choose either dine in or the front balcony, but whatever your choice feel free to ask the staff about any of the menu items. They are knowledgeable and friendly, and really helpful with your selection. BTW, prices are reasonable...

Location? Perfect. Price? Reasonable AF. Staff? Friendly and helpful. Food? Impeccable.

Was heading to Havre Bouche from Truro for a tattoo and wanted a nibble before my ink sesh. After lockdown I’m beyond bored of fast food. Not normally a try new foods kinda girl. When typing in “food” on google maps the Waffle Bus Stop popped up a few suggestions down. Caught my eye and I’m NOT MAD about it. The staff was excited and more than happy to make suggestions. After picking the waffle grilled cheese and chocolate smoothie. My taste buds were popping with flavour. The cheese was plentiful and stringy. Waffle was thick and flavourful. I’m almost mad that this isn’t in Truro although it’s saving me a huge weight gain. I’ll be stopping here EVERY time I pass through. 15/10 would recommend to anyone who likes food.

First off I'm a huge fan of waffles so I'm easy to win over in this category but the owners of this business make the experience as much as the food. The waffles are amazing, since our the best you'll ever eat and they have a large menu with both sweet and savoury waffles/waffle sandwiches. For first timers they have you an enthusiastic run down of the menu and the drink options. They make many of the sauses and source their ingredients as local as possible. My girlfriend has a severe peanut allergy and they were very knowledgeable and honest in regards to how they have used them in the past.
