Hummingbird Bread Company — Restaurant in Area A (Baynes Sound)

We were so fortunate to have Hummingbird Bread Company cater our wedding (~80 people) September 2024 on Hornby Island. Olivia and Bree are so talented and just amazing to work with---very professional and so joyful!

Our day started with a beautiful breakfast basket of delicious baked goods that I wish I could have every morning--I still think about the scones, haha. Olivia and Bree then made us a wonderful selection of cured meats, cheeses, olives, spreads, fresh and pickled veggies, and fresh fruits for after our ceremony that kept everyone well-fed until a stunning dinner of perfectly grilled wild salmon with salsa verde, chicken marbella, and exceptional sides that included an outstanding salad nicoise. They also made an absolutely wonderful vegetarian version of the chicken marbella with tofu and portobello mushrooms. It was so, so good! And then dessert--it was also phenomenal--a beautiful lemon presentation cake and carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese icing. We were blown away by the flavours and attention to detail in every dish.

We wanted the food to be a highlight of our wedding and it truly was thanks to Olivia and Bree. Many of our guests are still talking about it to this day!! They were absolutely outstanding and such a wonderful presence at our wedding. We cannot recommend...

I miss Hummingbird all year long and always look forward to eating as much of their baked goods during our annual week long trip in the summer.

Not a big sweets fan myself, but their creations are so delicious and perfectly balanced that I get multiple sweet treats a day 🤣. All of their savoury goods are equally amazing!!

Olivia and Bry are an amazing duo sharing amazing food and beautiful energy to Hornby's community 🙏💚

A-MA-ZING place and sourdough!! I loved everything we tried. The goat cheese sandwich and the cranberry sourdough were delicious. The service is great, the lady is very nice ! Everything is perfect. Oh and they have a cute outdoor lounge suite where you can sit and eat ! I'd love to be able to grab something...
