This beach is the reason we moved to Hornby Island 10 years ago. I would characterize it as "clothing optional". There are some clothed families there, presumably because it is much quieter (rarely electronic music) and less crowded than Big Tribune Bay Beach around the corner. When the RCMP (rarely) patrol the beach, I like to tell them (while my wife is telling me to shut up) that it would be appropriate for them to strip down to their boots, utility belt, and hat....
