This food hut is a great addition to Ringside Market. They have a lot of veggie options and the vegan burrito I had was pretty decent (I loved the pickled cabbage). It's within walking distance of Tribune Bay and there is a lot of outside seating if you'd rather not take your food on the go. Their hours are a bit more flexible too which was great since some of the other restaurants and shops were closed by 3.

A walk on Helliwell Park loop trail, then lunch at Vorizo Mexican cafe made an extra special outing for me. Vorizo veggie taco was sooo good. On a small, open soft taco mine was piled up with chopped veggies on top of mashed black beans, rice, and topped with spicy sauce. Ate half of it with a fork before there was room to fold it for hand-held mouthfuls. 💕

Absolutely incredible flavours! Tried both the breakfast and pork tacos. Both great but the breakfast one was outstanding, as was the coffee and cool vibe. Also the girls working the counter and grill were on the ball. If you eat anywhere on Hornby please make it Vorizo. Promise you won’t be disappointed. We went back two days in a row!

Our family visited Vorizo (love the name, check the license plate in the kitchen!) Cafe, and were blown away by how fresh, flavourful and enormous the meals were. We had breakfast burritos, a regular burrito and some breakfast tacos, and all were fantastic. Loaded with tons of fresh veggies, and roughly the size of a regulation football. It was fairly busy, so it took a while for the food to be prepared, but nothing to complain about at all, and the food was definitely worth a few minutes' wait. Plus, they're using lots of safety precautions to prevent the spread of Covid (although most of the guests didn't seem to be) - plexi 'sneeze guard' enclosing the restaurant (I feel sorry for them - it must have been a million degrees inside there) and face masks being worn by all staff members. Fantastic food, friendly service, good prices...all in all, a...

It is great that the new owners have brought back the original menu from the original owner. The original recipes were awesome, and would warrant a 5 star rating. Even though the new menu is back, the recipes are not as good as they once were unfortunately. The Pad Thai was amazing before, and is just ok now, plus the prices have gone up quite a bit. The original recipe Pad Thai had lots of sprouts, veggies, peanuts, shrimp, chives, etc. now there is just a hint with the main portion being just noodles. Hopefully with time and feedback the recipes will be as good as they once were. I have yet to try a burrito, but we will give it a shot and report back :-)

Bottom line: Some things shouldn't be changed, the original recipe and menu was amazing. I would recommend finding the original owner and beg for...

During my time on Hornby, I searched for the best coffee shop I could. And Lucy's Vorizo is that shop. There are others that open earlier in the day, that the locals hit up--but if you're looking for a delicious Americano or Espresso, this is the place to be.

I've also had the chicken burrito, which took me two meals to finish. And also the chicken taco. If you're seeking a small-ish breakfast, I found my routine in the chicken taco with a 16oz Americano (default 2 shots) and an espresso for desert.

I'm sure I'll be back. Thanks for some...
