Panago Pizza — Restaurant in Area A (Mill Bay / Malahat)

Let me start this with a positive note in that I received a phone call from the mill bay Panago owner and was impressed with how he went out of his way to help me with the problem, and I’m satisfied with the resolution. …This is was happened; I ordered gluten friendly pizza thru the call centre to be delivered from the mill bay location..but was not happy as my husband and I both have celiac disease and we both had a bad reaction to the pizza this time. So I called the call centre again, was given to a manager, and was given no empathy and no apology and was told gluten friendly is not gluten free and to order elsewhere next time! :-( Wow! Thanks!…BUT then I received a call from "Meet" the Owner at the actual Mill Bay Panago and I received the total opposite response. He spoke to me for almost an hr and he explained what their protocols are, and how concerned he was that this happened, and we brainstormed as to what /how this order could have gone wrong. He was very apologetic and not at all dismissive and genuinely seemed to be wanting to get to the bottom of how it happened, and then offered me a credit. ( I did not ask for that) it was my intent to try and keep it from repeating and I had been disappointed when the call centre manager had said to order elsewhere next time! So Meet’s attitude and sincere concern and need to make it right was refreshing. I have now decided to order again from the Mill Bay location again. I had ordered previously and it was great, so after much discussion with Meet I feel confident we will once again enjoy our meal. Horrible pizza.. over priced and got sick after eating 3 pieces!!! It stayed with me throughout the night and next day. The mushrooms were definitely out of a can and the pizza itself had a funny taste to it. The store randomly called me about a week later offering $5 off my next order through my phone number. I explained to the employee that I would not be ordering there again after what I went through being sick. The employee then wanted me to directly speak to his supervisor so he put the phone down and when the supervisor picked the phone up he promptly hung it up on me.(I could hear them talking in the back ground) This is how you treat your customers? Never again! I hardly ever complain and write poor reviews but after that treatment ....hell yes!! Tip....Go to Moos pizza....the best for Mill Bay area and they don't skimp out on...

I sadly have to agree with others about the disappointing value and lack of toppings. Visited three times trying different pizzas hoping for a different result or consistent with other locations I’ve been to... but there’s a lack of flavour here because it’s mostly dough crust... sparse sauce, cheese, meat etc. Literally half a slice of ham per slice of Hawaiian pizza :/ With the taco one I couldn’t taste anything but crust and lettuce. Personalized one was dry and barely sprinkled with the bunch of toppings I picked, no cheesiness despite asking for 2 types of cheeses. It is too bad because Mill Bay needs a place like this and the staff seem super great. I’m just not one to ask for “extra” just to bring it up to par. Maybe with time they will invest in balancing quality with quantity but until then we will choose to eat...
