Jonnie and Lily's Diner — Restaurant in Armstrong

I was super excited to try this place out with my hubby for lunch. It has great reviews and the photos looked like great food. We went in and its cute, clean and friendly. I ordered the 4 strips with a poutine for my lunch and hubby had the beef dip. His looked amazing and appetizing but I was quite disappointed when mine came out. For $14 or $16 ( cant remember exactly) for this meal (plus $3 for a poutine add on) I expected real chicken strips. But this wasn't the case unfortunately, they where fake chicken nugget strips that was processed fake chicken. I didnt end up eating them and just brought them home and gave to my kids.

Very disappointed as I expected real food for the price they charged. The beef dip looked good. 👌

Absolutely amazing! The food at Jonnie & Lily’s Diner was beyond delicious—every bite was packed with flavor. I had the waffle benny and it was delicious! Potatoes are fresh cut daily. The diner itself is super cute and cozy, with that perfect small-town charm. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service was right on point. My wife and I drove in from Vernon to try a new place out and we were pleasantly impressed. Friendly staff with great service and a cosy country atmosphere. The food was delicious, rustic and homemade. The restaurant was very clean and the prices are reasonable with large portion size. I will come back and support this family run...
