I recently had the pleasure of dining at Bistro Tissy and it was an experience that transported me straight back to Thailand. The owner, trained in the heart of Bangkok, brings an unparalleled authenticity to every dish. You can taste the difference in her approach; she hand-picks all her vegetables from locally sourced markets, ensuring the freshest and most vibrant flavors. Having just returned from Thailand, I was thrilled to find that her Khao Soi is the real deal—rich, flavorful, and just as I remember it from my travels. It's not just the food that stands out; the owner herself came to our table, sharing stories and ensuring everything was perfect. This personalized touch, combined with the authentic Thai hospitality, made the experience unforgettable. If you're looking for a genuine taste of Thailand, this is the place to be.

I saw the great reviews and had to try this place to see if it lived up to the hype 🙌🏻 and it absolutely did. 10/10 for everything. You order and pay first, then take a seat. We wanted to try a bit of everything, so we got the green curry and pad Thai. The curry was labeled “mild,” but wow 🥵 it was spicy, so just a heads-up! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. There wasn’t a single dish we didn’t enjoy. We also had the mango sticky rice 🤯 the portion was generous and it was just perfect. The staff are so kind and attentive. While the place seems really popular for takeout, the dine-in area is cute and the workers make it feel really welcoming. My only small downside was that the free water had a bit of a strange taste, but it didn’t affect the overall experience at all

Last night we had a spontaneous casual date night at Tissy’s Bistro in Beaconsfield sitting al fresco and shared a green mango salad, Tom yum soup, shrimp pad Thai, and a bottle of San Pelligrino. As always, it was beautifully presented, the service friendly, and the food was delicious with bright, fresh flavours and a nice Thai slap of heat. If you haven’t been, please know that there are very few tables to eat there, so prepare for a Plan B as most people do take away. There are two 2-top tables out front should you want to enjoy the summer air (as well as some indoor seating). This is our 4th or 5th time here and it’s been consistantly delicious and a great go-to West Island spot when craving Thai! — at Tissy's Bistro.

Excellent Take-Out Thai Delight

I recently had the pleasure of ordering take-out from a Thai restaurant that truly exceeded all expectations. From the moment I placed my order until the last bite, the experience was nothing short of outstanding. This gem of a place deserves every bit of my 5-star rating!

First and foremost, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They greeted me warmly upon arrival, making me feel right at home. Their knowledge of the menu was impressive, and they gladly answered all my questions, ensuring I made the best choices for my meal.

Now, let's talk about the food - oh, the food! Every dish I tried was an absolute delight to the senses. The star of the show was undoubtedly the Pad Thai. We ordered five portions of this classic Thai dish, and each one was executed flawlessly. The rice noodles were perfectly cooked, and the balance of flavors was impeccable. The tangy tamarind sauce, the crunch of peanuts, the freshness of bean sprouts and cilantro, and the tender chicken or shrimp (whatever your preference) all came together harmoniously. It was a taste sensation that left us craving more.

Portions were generous, ensuring we had enough to satisfy our appetites and even have leftovers for the next day.

In conclusion, this Thai restaurant is a true gem. With its friendly staff, mouthwatering food, and consistently exceptional flavors, it has become my go-to spot for take-out Thai cuisine. Whether you're a Pad Thai enthusiast like me or an adventurous foodie seeking authentic Thai flavors, this place is an absolute must-try. I cannot recommend it enough. Give it a go, and you won't be...

I hate that I even have to write this review as the food is actually good. Service is extremely disorganized and at the rate they were serving and could not handle it, they should have been turning away orders. 5 of us went here on Saturday and ordered. We were told there would be a 40 minute wait which was fine. After 1 hour 2 people in my party received their orders. These 2 people started to eat and she proceeded to tell us that we can't eat at the restaurant. But all of us have not even received our food??? She then "allowed" us to eat at the table. 10 minutes after that, the other 2 received their order. I asked when my food would come and was told "soon". 10 minutes later, I still have no food and as we are getting late for our next engagement, I asked for my money back. She gladly agreed which made it clear that they probably forgot about my order and had not even started to make my food. I counted my money and realized she did not give me my tip back. I asked her and she didn't even pretend like she "forgot" to give me my tip, and basically acknowledged that she did not give me back the tip on purpose. I found that very interesting and unfortunate; why would she try to keep my tip for horrible service and when I did not even receive my food? I felt like I was being tricked. They should have provided more compensation for the wait and inconvenience, such as a free voucher and they should not have made my pay for my iced tea that I ordered as well for the inconvenience. The service was abhorrent and the restaurant really needs to...

Best Thai food I've had since moving back to Montreal from South East Asia. Everything was excellent! The staff was really friendly and was kind enough to indulge all my questions about the ingredients they use. They use the same ingredients as my favorite Thai places in SE Asia. I'll definitely be back. Normally I would include photos, but the food smelled too good to wait. We ordered: Thai Basil Pork - served just like I remember in Asia and was nice and spicy, served with a fried egg on top. Pad Thai with Chicken was very balanced and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Chicken Massaman Curry was exactly the flavor profile I was expecting, and the curry was thick enough not to run all over the plate. I remember this dish made with beef or lamb and being spicier, but it was still delicious. Chicken Satay - also the flavors I remember with a mild peanut sauce. Again, the chicken was cooked perfectly. Mango Sticky Rice - you can't go wrong. The mango was ripe and sweet, the coconut rice was tasty and the coconut cream on the side was the...
