The location looks highclass, but that premium feeling dissipates quick. The interior itself looks very nice and the floor and tables were very clean and nothing looked like it needed renovation. Very proper. But the service was trash. Took forever and the waiters and waitresses had 0 customer service skills. Rather than get your attention to ask if you want a refill on your wine, they ask you quietly over the shoulder you're not facing and walk away of you don't answer, whether they were acknowledged or not. Food took decades to get to our table. The entrees weren't too bad. I'd have the calamari again. But the main dishes were fine, at best. Chicken parm was on the dry side, the beef was missing a flavour on the inside, and the salad that came with the salmon had a weird taste to it.

Our waitress went missing after she brought the soup and salad. We waited an hour after that. Reminded another waitress that we've ordered an hour ago. She went to the kitchen and came out with 2 cold steaks. We got charged for the soup and salad with 2 drinks about $30 and left the restaurant. I was there with a client so it was very embarrassing. Do not recommend going there for lunch. The 2 times we had dinner there and the bavet was great. Wish they had the same standards at lunch time.

After reading a few bad reviews I decided to give it a try. It was a Monday, so the place was empty but the waitress was super nice, we have the lunch special (20$), and everything was good, my fife had the broccoli soup , smooth and a bit sweet, I had the shrimp cocktail, it was great too. The main dish was excelente, also the dessert, except for the chocolate cake . I will be back.

Me and my husband stayed and the Imperial Hotel, and this restaurant was in the hotel, and oh boy I have some things to say. First, we were driving to this hotel, and there is parking right outside of this hotel, so as visitors who paid to stay in the hotel, we thought we had the right to park at the hotel parking. Today, Sunday, July 21, we were coming from Old Montreal back to our hotel and to our surprise, there was no parking not only at the hotel but not at the Tim Hortons beside it. There was some kind of event happening at this restaurant, so people parked literally on the grass at the property, illegally, blocking garages, etc. It’s unacceptable. If you are having an event at your restaurant, have a designated area where people would park. We had to park across the highway and we paid to stay at the hotel that you are having a party in. Second, I am writing this review as the party going on. It’s 11:29 pm. I am sorry, but people want to sleep!!! People are staying at the hotel TO SLEEP! And it’s says that the restaurant closes at 11 pm. But I still hear loud music, and our room is literally shaking! Third, the attitude that security guard gave me, my headband and the DESK Receptionist who was literally giving us access to the hotel amenities that we paid for is unbelievable! Management of this restaurant, please read what I wrote above and take necessary actions. I like Imperial hotel, I like my stay. The whole stuff was so understanding of this situation. I feel bad that they have to deal with such disgusting place. I will continue to leave a 1 star review until someone respond to it with explanation on why they think this...

Plainte formelle – Traitement inacceptable au restaurant de l’hôtel

À qui de droit,

Je me permets de vous écrire aujourd’hui non pas avec légèreté, mais avec une immense déception et une profonde amertume. Je suis présentement client dans votre établissement depuis plus de cinq semaines — bientôt six. Mon séjour, pour des raisons personnelles que je ne tiens pas à exposer ici en détail, revêt une grande importance pour moi. Il est essentiel que je puisse y trouver un minimum de stabilité, de paix d’esprit, et un environnement sécurisant. Jusqu’à maintenant, votre hôtel a répondu à toutes mes attentes. Le personnel hôtelier est d’un professionnalisme exemplaire, humain, courtois et attentif. Malheureusement, ce que j’ai vécu aujourd’hui au restaurant rattaché à l’établissement, qui je sais, est géré de manière indépendante, est venu anéantir cette impression positive.

Aujourd’hui, un employé du nom de William, affecté au service du restaurant, s’est montré hostile, condescendant et inacceptable dans ses propos comme dans son attitude. J’ai fait une demande on ne peut plus simple et raisonnable : obtenir deux chaises identiques à celles déjà présentes dans ma chambre, pour recevoir dignement des invités. Au lieu de cela, on m’a fait livrer deux chaises sales, graisseuses, usées à la corde, totalement indignes du standing que vous prétendez offrir. Et lorsque j’ai voulu exprimer calmement et poliment mon inconfort face à cela, William m’a carrément méprisé.

Ses paroles exactes, sur un ton sec et arrogant, ont été :

“Ce n’est pas mon problème.” “Je m’en fous de ce que tu payes ou depuis combien de temps tu es ici.” “C’est ça les chaises, puis c’est tout.”

Je suis resté calme. J’ai simplement rappelé que je suis un client régulier, respectueux, et que j’attends un service cohérent avec les sommes considérables que je verse chaque semaine, tant pour l’hébergement que pour les repas. Car oui, je commande régulièrement du restaurant, j’investis dans mon confort ici, et je m’efforce de demeurer agréable avec tous les employés, sans exception. Je suis un client qui ne cherche jamais le conflit. Mais aujourd’hui, j’ai été humilié. Invisibilisé. Traité comme si ma présence n’avait aucune valeur.

Je suis profondément bouleversé. Non seulement cette interaction m’a causé un stress inutile, mais elle vient entacher lourdement la qualité de mon séjour, un séjour qui m’est précieux dans une période de grande fragilité. Et ce qui me dérange le plus, c’est que cela jette une ombre injustifiée sur l’image de votre hôtel. Un hôtel où le personnel fait preuve d’un engagement remarquable, mais dont la réputation est aujourd’hui compromise par le comportement désastreux du personnel du restaurant.

Soyons clairs : ce n’est pas qu’une question de chaise. C’est une question de dignité, de respect et de cohérence de service. Je ne suis pas ici pour me battre, mais je ne peux pas rester silencieux lorsqu’un employé me regarde de haut et me dit qu’il n’en a rien à faire de moi. Je ne suis pas un numéro de chambre. Je suis un client humain, fidèle, courtois. Et je n’accepterai pas d’être traité comme moins que ça.

Ce restaurant est vide chaque soir, et ce n’est pas un hasard. Ce n’est pas un manque de clientèle, c’est un manque de considération. Une réputation, ça se bâtit difficilement et ça se détruit en une seule conversation. Si les employés comme William restent en place sans conséquence, il ne faudra pas s’étonner que ce restaurant continue de repousser ses clients potentiels.

Je termine en réitérant tout mon respect et mon appréciation envers votre équipe hôtelière, qui est irréprochable. Mais je vous en conjure : prenez des mesures face à la gestion actuelle du restaurant. Vous méritez mieux. Vos clients...
