As an avid Costco food court visitor (I swear to God, if they raise the price of the hotdog, I will cancel my card), I was recommended the ikea food court. For this reason, I will write this review as a comparison. Deal with it!
First of all, are their prices really comparable? Well, no! Ikea food court is more expensive! I had the meatballs, a small poutine, 1 slice of garlic bread, 1 slice of pie and beverage for $23.52! It's not really "cheap". Just slightly below average.
Alright, but what about the food? Is it better than Costco? Let's begin with the Poutine.. at Costco $6.99 for a large poutine. Costco poutine has a flavour all of their own. Is it better than Ikea's? Difficult to say. They are certainly different. My "beef" with Ikea's poutine is that it lacks sauce. Other than that , seems like a regular poutine. Prices run at $5.99 for the small and $8.99 for the large.
Then, the main dish, the Swedish meatballs. It came with puree, peas and canneberge sauce. Let's begin with the meatballs.. well , it tastes just like generic small meatballs. I dont know whats so Swedish about it? And thats my main complaint about Ikea food court. Costco sells their food court as cheap and large, and to me they achieve their goal. Ikea sells their food court as a peak at Swedish/exotic/foreign cuisine. And there is nothing here that looks or tastes different. It's just good, if generic, food. Gotta say, though the puree was really good. The canneberge sauce, on the other hand, not really.
The pie was ok, good price for a slice of pie at $2.99, but nothing to call home about. Same can be said for the garlic bread.
The biggest offender though, is the beverage. I even though of going for 3 stars because of it. And it only doesn't go 3 stars because prices are ok and the environment is awesome. I love going to Ikea because everybody seems to be hanging around with their families and having a good time. But back to the beverages.. First, their regular sodas (cola, etc) are generic versions and they are pretty bad. But you don't come to Ikea for cola.. And they advertise their beverages as exotic, Swedish, foreign fruit but its just generic artificial soda like the canned ones you buy everywhere!
Overall an underwhelming experience but one, I recommend if you are already at Ikea. I just wouldn't go to Ikea only for their food court like I'd do with Costco (altho I always end up buying more stuff! And that's...

Service was excellent—fast, friendly, and efficient, even with the morning rush.
The atmosphere is beautiful—bright, clean, and modern, with lots of natural light and a relaxed vibe. It’s a great spot to start your day.
As for the food quality, it’s decent. The eggs were a little soggy, which keeps it from being perfect, but at this price point, it’s more than fair. Everything else was tasty and satisfying, especially the pancakes and crispy bacon.
Overall: If you’re looking for a filling and affordable breakfast in a pleasant setting, IKEA is a...
