Petinos Boucherville — Restaurant in Boucherville

A+ table service with a smile but price was higher than the quality. My boyfriend and I love going out for brunch and like trying new places.

AMBIANCE: Upon arrival, service was a little slow. We waited 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged us at the door. Seating was a little crammed if you're at the center tables. In the pictures it looks a lot more spacious. The noise level is HIGH, it feels like being in a school cafeteria. We were also surprised that they don't serve water without having to ask for it. I feel like that should be automatic at a restaurant.

FOOD: The home fries are unique and tasty, though a little salty. For me: "Le Gaspesien" (Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon) generous on the hollondaise sauce, fries a bit too salty, but eggs perfectly cooked. It met my expectations and it's a meal I would recommend. For my bf: "Le Petinos" (your typical lumberjack meal), not as generous on the servings, when you order a lumberjack meal, you expect a lumberjack serving. There was still space on the plate, and were cheap on the bacon and fries. Sausage was very salty. He was a bit more underwhelmed.

SERVICE: The best part of our experience was that the waitresses seemed to really enjoy working there. We didn't feel rushed. They were all very patient, caring, engaging and cheery.

Overall I give it an "OK". I do see it's potential but I did not experience it fully today. If they keep their positive points and improve on the following things they would be excellent and maybe even the best breakfast place in the area:

1. Take people's names as soon as they arrive at the restaurant or at the least give them a number to keep things organized.
2. Serve water automatically upon arrival at the table
3. Reduce amount of salt
4. Reduce overall noise level (this can be done by adding decorative soundproofing on the walls to reduce the noise echo)
5. Add a few more slices of bacon to...

I love the Petinos chain. Today was my first time ordering from the Boucherville location, and it was for takeout. I made 2 separate orders for 2 different households. The gentleman on the phone was very gracious, he repeated the orders back to me, and assured me that the orders would be separated, but that I could pay the bills together. When I arrived to pick up my order, it was ready. The receipts were stapled to what I thought would be the right orders. There was a third bag which I was told went with the larger order. I was obliged to pay for the 2 orders separately, which was fine.

To make a long story shorter, the 2 orders were mixed together and 2 receipts were stapled onto 2 of the bags. The receipts didn't match the contents of the bag. I am hoping that the 2 bags I delivered to the other household contained the missing parts of my meal (2 orders of toast and waffle). Otherwise we paid too much for the amount we ordered. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Petinos in Boucherville for breakfast, and it was an absolute delight. From the moment we stepped in, the inviting atmosphere and friendly staff set the tone for a memorable experience.

Our waitress, Melody, deserves special recognition for her outstanding service. She was not only friendly but also incredibly efficient, making our breakfast enjoyable with her quick and attentive service. Melody's constant smile added an extra touch of warmth to the overall experience.

I opted for the Petinos combo, and it exceeded my expectations. The delicious food combined with the great service made it a morning to remember. I would highly recommend trying the Petinos combo – it's a true winner!
