I am astounded at the LOW quality food. I had eaten at sesame many times, first time being 7 years ago at the Atwater location. This evening, my boyfriend and I got take out. I am shocked at how lackluster the meal was. We spent around 80$ on our meal, and we always leave 15% tip, because we are decent human beings. We are never going back however. My bf got won ton with peanut sauce. Spoiler alert: DID NOT TASTE LIKE PEANUT SAUCE. Just bland. I got calamari.....they were...soggy. the mayo was good though (for Peter's sakes). My tom yum soup was just a bloated dish of plain noodles. There was not a trace of spice, lemongrass or coconut milk/cream. Hardly any bullion anyway. I am beyond amazed at how they could get such a simple soup wrong. There was NO LOVE in it. Just bland pasta. Unbelievable. I'm shook. My bf teriyaki meal was also lackluster. Please. I am a very gracious, positive person. Just look at all my other google reviews. I LOVE appreciating food and service and give 5 stars all the time. But this.....this experience with Sesame....dispicapble. please, owners, managers, idk, who ever reads this...Talk to your cooks. The girl on the phone who took our order was polite. So yea, 5 stars for her. And the mayo was good the rest:...
Read moreWhen this place opened in MTL, it quickly became my new favorite restaurant. The one at the location in Boucherville simply doesn't live up to the standards of the other locations in MTL. I have been to the one in Boucherville 3 or 4 times and every time is worst than the last. During my last visit, I had take out and everything I ordered was so bad, I just couldn't go on without saying nothing about how everything I ordered was sub par and the food I received was not worth the money. My appetizer (dumplings) smelled very fishy and unfresh. The shrimp in the dumplings were not even cleaned out. You could still see their waste. There was not even enough sauce to eat with them. I got the 12 piece appetizer to share with a friend. About 9 pieces of that were disgusting. The spring roll (ricepaper roll) was so hard it was most likely prepared at least 2 days before. The main dish I ordered was over cooked to the point where everything looked drab and dull on the plate,it was supposed to be spicy but was barely tasting of anything and the amount of food for the money was very small. Even my friend's food was sub par. Needless to say, we are never going back...
Read moreI'm a huge fan of sesame for one reason....the poutine tao!!! It's my favorite poutine ever. The fries are small an crispy, the sauce is tasty and theres's not too much do the fries stays crispy instead of the soggy shame poutine usually is.
The lunch formula include a chouce of entree, the imperial roll might be the best choice. We also tried the tuna and mango bol. It wasn't in the same standard than the poutine. Some bites of tuna were chewier than others and the whole dish is unbalanced.
Just take the poutine and enjoy. You don' t need to...
