I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding an experience I had at one of your locations yesterday June 15@ 117 Holland Street East, Bradford, Ontario L3Z 1X8 at approximately 2:30 pm. It was an exceptionally hot day, and while I was out for a run, I began feeling overheated and in urgent need of water. Unfortunately, I did not have any form of payment with me at the time.
I approached the staff and politely asked for a glass of water, explaining my situation. To my surprise, I was denied, not once, but twice! Even when I offered to use a cup to drink tap water from the washroom. I found this response both upsetting and concerning, particularly given the importance of hydration and basic human decency, especially in extreme weather conditions.
What’s even more disheartening is that many businesses freely offer water to the public, including for pets. I was eventually able to get a bottle of water from a small, local bakery free of charge and without hesitation, demonstrating true community care.
Beyond inconvenience, this situation raises serious concerns about community responsibility and customer care. It’s alarming to think what could happen in more serious situations, for example, if someone experiencing a medical emergency such as an asthma attack was refused something as basic as water.
As a long-time customer, I expected better from Starbucks, a company that promotes community values. This experience has left me questioning whether I can continue to support your brand. I will also be sharing this experience publicly to encourage more support for small local businesses that truly care for the people in their community.
I hope Starbucks reconsiders its approach to such basic acts of humanity going forward. Access to drinking water, especially in emergencies, should not come with...
Read moreHad a snotty young associate tell me how my drink MUST be made after I specifically asked for it to be made a certain way( half sweet). As a paying customer, I am entitled to have my beverage made with reduced sugar as I am diabetic. I have ordered this drink this way from many locations without issue, I was shocked. I ended up having to bring in the beverage after ordering it through drive-thu into the store, and was not offered a replacement the way I originally ordered it. This location was awesome when it first opened but it's definitely not the same. To many new faces which points to poor management or no one wants to stay employed there. This isn't the first time my order was made incorrectly , but I was definitely the first time I received such horrible service with a scoop of attitude as a...
Read moreThis is the worst Starbucks location I have ever bean to and I frequent Starbucks at many different locations. I have been refused service of a basic dark coffee on multiple occasions. Today, at 1:34pm, I was yet again refused a dark coffee because they were not brewing it. EVERY other location that I frequent are always more than happy to serve a pour over or an americano, at regular price, in lieu of the dark coffee. This location has refused to do the same every time they are inadequately able to fill my order. This is the equivalent to McDonald's never having cheeseburgers at one particular location and not doing anything to provide any kind of customer service. Can Starbucks head office look into this and let me know if I need to bring my...
