Authentic Trini Foods (Doubles & Roti Shop) — Restaurant in Brampton

After reading all the good reviews on this restaurant, I decided to give it a try. I ordered Shrimp Curry, just the curry alone, but what a disappointment it was. For $20 that I paid for a medium container, the gravy that the shrimp was in looked like and tasted like water was added to the shrimp. I eat shrimp curry and can cook it also, but this was a busy day for me, and I can tell you it should not look like it was cooked in water. To the owner of this shop, please have more care in what you serve your customers because you charge like other restaurants $$$. Would I recommend this restaurant based on my experience? NO!!! We came here a couple weeks ago. The roti was alright, nothing particularly wrong with it, just OK. They do not follow distancing rules- they allowed people to wait inside for their orders so everyone outside was unsure if they could go in to order. Eventually I just decided to go in and order. I waited at the counter and the guy working there goes "what is it?" like I was a bother to him. I tell him what I want and then I try to ask him how long it will take and he just walks away in the middle of me talking. He then comes back and starts doing something else. I had to get his attention again to ask if he needed a name or for me to pay first and how long the wait was. Honestly the food is not worth the subpar service....

Honestly. The food is great and the portion is good but clearly I can never get what I ordered!! I am so frustrated. I ask for Roti rap, I get buss up! I ask for Buss up, I get something else. I ask for Goat, I get chicken, I know what I call in and Order, I even repeat myself when paying and the gentleman knows his head and say yes girl, all in the bag.

I CALL IN MY ORDER at least 10mins ahead of time and I stand there and watch people come in, order get their food before me. I try not to make a fuss the first couple of times but is a everyday thing!

You guys need to so something about this or unfortunately I'll take my business elsewhere. Disappointed.
