I visited this restaurant on Tuesday July 7 2023
First I’d like to say the situation I had today was with different employees that I have dealt in past at this location
It was my friends birthday and we decided to go out for samosas as a late night snack We arrived at the location and were met by a gentleman we have seen once before and another employee This gentleman was always friendly to me in the past and greeted me with a smile The last time I visited this location he asked me to do a video review for his restaurant and I politely declined due to the nature of work I am involved in We placed our order of samosas to go and sat at a table waiting for it to be ready Once the order was ready the female employee handed us our food and asked if we were going to eat there and we said ok why not We have eaten there many times in the past at the table and we always felt welcome About 5 mins into our meal the female returned and said we could not eat at the table and asked us to leave in the middle of our meal I said ok that’s fine and I picked up my food and started to walk outside I then decided to talk to the gentlemen employee I had talked to before why I was asked to leave He said the rules are if you order take out you have to eat outside I explained I have eaten my take out order there MANY times in the past and I have never been asked to leave and was always welcome to eat there I explained to him I did not know they changed the rules and it would have been nice to allow me to eat at the table this time instead of having to sit outside on the curb and eat I was very polite when speaking with the man and he was polite to me but did not seem to understand emotional intelligence and understand making someone leave halfway into their meal to eat outside on the curb was disrespectful or made him look bad I explained to him I am aware of all the bad reviews on your restaurant and when employees asked me to write a good review I was happy to help out I explained treating people like this is not good for your reputation and when I got home I was going to edit my review to let others know how the new employees are treating their customers I explained it is not good for people to see my name saying good things about a restaurant when they are asking people to eat outside half way into their meal on their birthday
As I went outside there was another older gentleman who involved himself into the situation who was eating inside earlier He tried his best to intimidate me and tell me he knew who I was AND IDENTIFIED HIMSELF AS A POLICE OFFICER I asked to see his badge and when he refused to produce it I told him impersonating a police officer was a serious crime in Canada
I then politely explained my story and after he listened he agreed how I was treated was unfair and offered to go inside and make things right He was friendly with me afterwords and his friend was friendly as well
After a short conversation I decided to go on my way and head back home after not eating the food I paid for
MY INTENTION FOR THIS REVIEW IS NOT TO GET ANYONE IN TROUBLE BUT TO BE A LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR THE PEOPLE INVOLVED
FIRST IF YOU WANT TO RUN A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS YOU HAVE TO TREAT PEOPLE WITH INTEGRITY SO THAT THEY PUT OUT A GOOD REPUTATION FOR YOUR RESTAURANT
SECOND IF YOUR GOING TO IMPERSONATE A POLICE OFFICER AS A MEANS TO INTIMIDATE SOMEONE PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT IS NOT A SMART THING TO DO AS IT MAY GET YOU IN ALOT OF TROUBLE
I LOVED YOUR FOOD BUT AFTER THIS SITUATION I WILL NO LONGER BE VISITING YOUR RESTAURANT DUE TO POOR TREATMENT
THIS WAS THE REVIEW I MADE A FEW MONTHS AGO BASED ON THE SERVICE I RECEIVED
Iv been visiting this location for the last 6 months regularly and I’ve had nothing but good experiences when visiting
The employees are always very friendly, the food is delicious, and they always have great music videos playing that I enjoy watching while I wait for my order
If you want the best samosas in Brampton I highly recommend giving this...
Read moreToday I tried the $9.99 buffet offer, there are pros and cons of the offer.
Pros You can't get unlimited food in $9.99 in today's time for sure, so definitely very good offer for everyone to save some money and have outing with family. Only few things out of the entire food offered in buffet is worth - dal, rice, naan - that's it only these 3 items i could say you can eat easily which has some taste.
Cons Too much waiting for the food items to be refilled, it was embarrassing to ask so many times for naan, the line was getting bigger every minute as the food refilling was taking too long, I think if restaurant is calling this offer they should plan this properly Even after waiting for 30 mins, non veg items were not refilled which were promised as Part of buffet. The taste of few items was not upto the mark - chicken, paneer/ mix veg, chole, kheer. Chicken which came after 30 mind waiting was way undercooked and had some foul smell The plates provided for buffet were very thin, I dnt think it was appropriate to offer food in those plates The offer on Instagram mentioned 20+items, but I think it was hardly 10 items, and that too eatable 3 to 4, the add also showed gulab jamun, but they were not offered
Overall, I still think offering food in $9.99 is not easy, and if you are not too picky about the food taste, you can give it a try and eat as much as you want which is an amazing deal. But if you are bothered about the cons mentioned above then you may be disappointed. Not to criticize, but I think the restaurant should try to address the above concern, quality does matter, cheap food price doesn't mean the quality should suffer. I haven't tried the food directly from the menu so not sure if the food on the normal price is better, but may not try the buffet offer for sure...
Read moreThe worst experience ever, ordered Naan ( was uncooked), tandoori masala ( chicken pieces were completely raw), manchow soup ( it was a transparent broth with flavour of ketchup and sriracha sauce) and chicken pakora an Indian appetizer ( which they claimed as Thai dish and said the chicken comes raw). We did a pick up and soon realized that the food was not worth eating. I called the restaurant to inform that everything was uncooked and wanted a replacement delivery. They said, they can Either give the cash back or can remake the food but I had to take the food back. I did inform them that I will bring it back if they give me the refund as I didn’t wanted to eat from them anymore. Reached the restaurant to realize that they won’t even give me the refund anymore claiming that they need everything ( whatever they served in full quantity back). I did inform them that I got what was left in the plate and rest was thrown in garbage and they clearly saw that the food that I took back was completely uncooked. They still denied giving me my refund. This is by far the first customer service place with no ethics or value for their words. Will never...
