Khalsa Pizza — Restaurant in Brampton

First off let me say that I couldn't order my baseline. I always get a thin crust well done with cheese but they only had combos available online. They also seem to only offer vegetarian options. I did spinach, mushroom, and onions. They also offer spice levels (Awesome!!) so I chose hot.

Right off the bat the onions were in-your-face. Red onions are pungent when cooked but white or yellow are more subtle. They went all in with red; as soon as I opened the door to get my order I could smell it. It's a bit overpowering and lingers but it tasted great while I was eating. The toppings were all drowned out by the onions so I couldn't even properly tell you about the mushrooms or anything.

The crust was floppier than I had hoped but I like how they do thin crust. It was pretty much the perfect thinness with a high proirity on fillings like cheese and tomato sauce. The sauce was pretty good. I asked for a hot pizza and they delivered but it was in the sauce which made for an incredibly enjoyable experience. The heat was fantastic and really well-leveled with just the right amount of burn so you could appreciate the pizza.

The paneer was incredibly disappointing. It was a sad pre-bought that was thrown in the oven instead of deepfried. I do not recommend the paneer at all. However the fries were incredibly good. I munched on those like no tomorrow.

I would give 3 stars if they had good customer service. Pretty much same array of toppings that you would find at, for example pizza pizza. I have only gone twice, the first time, I enjoyed the pizza, but when I chose my toppings, the main lady that is always there commented that I only chose expensive toppings. I know a lot of people would say don't take it personally, but I just got bad vibes. Today I went for the last time, and being newly trying to switch to veganism, I was looking for options for pizza and their name came up again in my search so I decided to try it again. I asked the same lady if they had vegan options and she said yes we are vegan but they don't have vegan cheese. Okay I understood that, and after contemplating for a LONG time, I come back in to order my pizza and I ask for goat cheese. Again I am on my journey to veganism, and I cut down ALOT and it was my choice to have goat cheese. She laughed at me and proceeded to tell me it was not vegan. Maybe I am taking it wrong, but I felt mocked in a passive way. I will not be going back to this...

Something is wrong here, most likely there's some underlying cause for wide variability in the experience and reviews. I see a ton of positive reviews and a few negative 1-star reviews once in a while.

For me, when it comes to the taste, my experience was in line with the 1-star reviews. I was excited to try out this place but was disappointed. My review is consistent with other 1-stars regarding the taste being bland, tasteless, pizza not being crisp enough and other unknown issues not giving pizza the taste it should.

I don't want to leave a review just to voice my issue, but genuinely want to help out here. I see there are plenty of great reviews here too.
