Our visit to Brar’s, an Indian vegetarian restaurant in Brampton, was an absolute delight. The menu boasts an eclectic range of flavorful dishes, catering to a variety of tastes.

We started our meal with some refreshing drinks – I chose Thumbs Up, a classic Indian soda that perfectly complemented the spicy flavors to come. We also tried the mojito masala, which added a unique twist to the traditional mojito.

For appetizers, we indulged in chaat and malai paneer tikka. The chaat was a perfect mix of tangy, spicy, and crunchy elements, making each bite a burst of flavor. The malai paneer tikka, my personal favorite, had an excellent texture – creamy and well-marinated, with just the right amount of char from the grill.

Moving on to the main courses, we ordered shahi paneer with naan. This dish, akin to butter chicken but featuring cottage cheese instead of chicken, had a rich, sweet sauce that I found delightful. The naan was soft and buttery, perfect for soaking up the luscious gravy.

For a more casual option, we tried the paneer tikka wrap, which was stuffed with flavorful paneer and accompanied by crispy fries – a great choice if you prefer something handheld and convenient.

For those seeking traditional brunch items, the chana bhatura is a must-try. The dish featured savory curried chickpeas with two large, fluffy bhaturas (flash-fried breads) that were both hearty and satisfying.

We also ordered a thali, which offered incredible value. It came with three different curries, a portion of rice, naan, a small salad, and a dessert. Each curry was distinct and delicious, providing a well-rounded sampling of the restaurant's offerings.

Overall, Brar’s impressed us with its diverse menu and authentic flavors. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Indian cuisine or a newcomer looking to explore, Brar’s is definitely worth a visit for a delicious...

A Truly Disappointing Navratri Experience - An Absolute Waste of Money

★☆☆☆☆ (1 Star)

I am writing this review with great disappointment after my recent visit to try their much-talked-about Navratri Thali. Unfortunately, it was the worst thali experience I have ever had.

Let's start with the most critical point: the taste. For the exorbitant price charged, the quality and flavor of the food were shockingly poor. The taste was an absolute letdown and felt like a complete waste. There was no semblance of the authentic, flavorful fasting food one expects during Navratri.

To make matters worse, the service was incredibly slow. We had to wait for an unreasonably long time for our food to arrive. And even after this extensive delay, the service remained incomplete. None of the four people in my group were served the paneer pakora and saboodana vada, which are essential components of a Navratri thali. It's unacceptable to pay a premium price for an incomplete meal.

Considering the high cost, the terrible taste, the delayed service, and the missing items, this experience was an absolute waste of money.

My strong advice: Please do not go for the Navratri Thali. Save your money and your taste buds for a more worthy establishment. I will not...

Disappointed Experience – Wouldn’t Recommend Near Closing Time—

We had a really disappointing experience at this restaurant. Waited for 20 min to get the table that was just dirty, due to short staffed.. we were given a dirty table. We ordered just one veg thali and had to wait over 30 minutes — and when the food finally came, the butter naan was burnt. It felt like the staff was more focused on closing the restaurant than serving the few customers still inside.

I asked the server to call the manager, but no one ever came to our table. The staff were just talking amongst themselves and seemed uninterested in attending to us. To make it worse, they forgot to include the sweet dish that was supposed to come with the thali.

After we were done with most of our meal, a server came over with just the butter naan and said, “Oh, it’s complimentary.” But by that time, all our curries were already finished — what were we supposed to do with just that?

Honestly, nothing felt “complimentary” about the experience. For a restaurant of this kind, we expected better service and food quality. If you’re planning to dine here, I’d strongly advise not coming close to their closing hours. Very...
