Desi Bar & Grill (Brampton)- Indian food done right! — Restaurant in Brampton

A BITTER DISAPPOINTED EXPERIENCE * NOT GOING EVER AGAIN *Went to DESI BAR & GRILL (Brampton) last night with my mates to have a good weekend outing. We ordered two pitchers of blue moon. We all had a sip but the beer was flat and tasted funny. I told the barkeep about the issue , then he took some beer in a glass to the manager ( a lady who did not tell her name ). She said the beer is fine and there’s nothing wrong with it. So okay no worries. We drank it. Obviously it’s so expensive. Then we decided to change the brand and opted for Heineken . It was good. We drank three more pitchers. But we also ordered chicken nachos and shahi paneer nachos. While eating one of us noticed Human HAIR in the nachos , told the server politely , he changed the nachos. Cool. Then we ordered tequila shots but one of us didn’t want salt on the top of the glass so when asked barkeep to change the glass but she was very rude and unprofessional , did not change it and said salt is already put on it and she won’t change the glass. Fine okay. This was the point where we decided that we will leave and take our party some place else. So we ordered mutton and naans for the mains and it was fine. So we asked for cheque at the end. So they wrongly charged for an extra pitcher. I told the server there’s a mistake in the bill. He asked the barkeep and the barkeep argued that we drank 6 not 5. I requested to see the manager. Firstly I told her about every unprofessional and unethical behaviour of the barkeeps (one guy and lady ) and then I politely asked her to check the surveillance cameras and see how many pitchers we drank. The manager asked the servers who were speechless and started mumbling. So they(barkeeps) started blaming each other. In the end they took one pitcher off the bill. I explained the manager if a customer is complaining about something, you are not meant to tell customer that you can’t do anything about it. It shows inhospitable attitude of the staff. But she seemed careless and arrogant and didn’t seem to listen at all. Spent 500$ here. They ruined our weekend outing. Moreover their attitude and way of dealing with someone who is spending hundreds of dollars in their restaurant...

First of all, the food was sooo yumm!!! Now I have to explain the issue which we have faced today at this place.. We were 8 members, they gave a table to us, girl named as mehak came to took our order, we ordered three curries and she pushing us again and again that the quantity would be not sufficient for you guys, we told her that we order later if it's not sufficient..After that she didn't gave us enough napkins..She came thrice to us, to ask if food is okay, that's nice thing, but how she behaved is too bad...At last we asked for billing, she said if you pay by cash there would be no tax we said okayy fine.. After that she came for bill tell us verbally that it is $227.. We were shocked that we know how much food we ordered and its not worth it.. We asked for receipt and she came with receipt and we checked that 18% is tip and she said "tip te tuhanu deni paini aa".. We asked whyyyy?? She said you are more than 5 persons so its a law that you need to pay extra.. Then we asked that you need to let us know this thing when you gave us table.. She came with her supervisor, she said it's written on the menu, we asked for the menu. There was nothing on the menu,, then they both went to their manager and we explained then she accepted their mistake and gave us new bill by subtrating their so called tip.. At last it's not about the tip or money its about that how these restaurants made us fool,, my request to everyone to please check your bill always.. Not...

Waiting since an hour still waiting for our appetisers, when we were told to just wait for 5 mins!

Noone followed us until we checked with them again to give us our table! Anyway after waiting for 20-25 mins, we placed appetiser order which was got to us after 25 mins! Noone followed cutlery served, no tissues at the table! Just plates lol

Poor presentation of our dish- tikka was thrown on plate , onions everywhere, Gosh! This bad service with less servers, Also, there was hardly any flavour infused in my paneer tikka !!

Called the manager, he finally replaced my dish with much better marination ! A nice gentleman who was the only person to take care of us finally

Also guess the price of the appetisers here? 19-23 bucks without tax & they serve you in the worst possible manner (Attaching pictures of 1st vs 2nd serve)

If you cannot manage to have more servers, which we saw 2 running around the place with more than 10 tables & pple waiting for 30 mins for just appetisers, please consider closing this branch! I see on their website they are opening at new locations

We had visited last year but had a completely different experience!! May be the original Chef has left or management has changed!

We certainly won’t be visiting & will NOT clearly recommend this place to anyone!

P.S- only good thing was the DJ but empty stomach isn’t gona let you enjoy the music !! The manager was also nice to try to rectify our order but still i...
