Golden Palace Restaurant — Restaurant in Brampton

I placed an order today for honey garlic chicken wings and fried rice. When I got home the rice was mushy and pasty and the chicken was raw and undercooked. When I called the location to let them know the lady that answered said that she would have her driver deliver the new order which I agreed to. She then calls me back 5 minutes later and says that I'm too far for them to deliver, she said if I wanted the order changed I would have to come back. I'm not accessible to a vehicle and I asked what is the other option. The lady then proceeds that I have to eat the food because they already made it and can't deliver another order because it's out of the way. This is were I got upset because how do you expect someone to eat raw food?! She the says she would provide a credit, told me to hold on and when she came back said no she won't do a credit. If I wanted the food I would have to come get it myself. Livid, I asked her again if she expected me to eat raw food? And let her know again that I'm currently not accessible to a vehicle to come exchange it; she put a man on the phone "named Jeff" said he's the owner. He came on the phone yelling were not delivering to you, your too far you have to come and no refund. I let him know that the call was being recorded and I have the intention of calling the Ministry of Health and the region and letting them know what had transpired. I will be going back there for my money back once accessible. I used to always go to this restaurant and had recommended people to go there in the past but after this experience they will never get a dollar from me and I be following up with public health regarding this issue. I don't recommend anyone to this restaurant; they have poor customer service and they compromise the quality...

I ordered the dinner for two plus the beef and broccoli.

There is something wrong with that beef, I am not sure if it's coming from Jeffrey Dahmer's apartment or what? Fried rice tasted so smokey again. The chicken chop suey was slimy. The egg rolls were burnt soaked in oil and they didn't even give me plum sauce. But did give me an extra fortune cookie and extra soya sauce. Lol

The lesson has been learned. I've given these guys multiple chances cuz they're close to my house and they are terrible. I recommend the health unit go in and check this place out immediately before someone dies. I ate one plate of the food and through the rest in the garbage!!

Yesterday I called the restaurant to tell them I'll be writing a review. I told them to make sure the food is excellent. I ordered the dinner for three with sweet and sour chicken balls. The chicken chop suey did not have one piece of chicken in it. I ordered a side of sweet and sour chicken wontons. They did not have any chicken in it. Infact that chicken chop suey looked like a half full dish with old mushrooms The fried rice was not as good as they usually have. The beef and mixed vegetables was okay but the sauce seemed a little thick. The fact that you order a chicken chop suey and don't get one piece of chicken automatically makes this review a zero.

I really don't know how someone can screw it up so badly.

The good news is my money was refunded. The bad news is me and my friend here were hoping for a good meal before he caught his airplane back to Nicaragua.

Golden Palace has been a staple in our family for decades. Thrilled to be back here last night. Not much has changed- the decor, the uniforms, and wait staff and of course, the amazing egg rolls and accompanying food! The sauce they create for the Cantonese chow mein is divine, as is their GP style chicken soo guy. One of the best honey garlic sauces (ribs), excellent chicken balls, and flavourful rice complimented by their aromatic soy sauce all blended to give us the incredible flavours we expect from Golden Palace.
