Monday, July 18th my friend and I visited this restaurant to have the AYCE for lunch. There were little things throughout my dining experience that were questionable but I didn't make a fuss of it. For example I would order mayo shrimp, which was 2 pieces per order and I ordered 5 orders - therefore expecting 10 pieces but only 5 came. this resulted in me submitting another order just to get the amount I initially wanted. The fried rice was also hard and seemed stale, both my friend and I agreed on this but didn't say anything since it was AYCE and we could simply order something else.
As I was having my spicy california rolls I noticed 2 small pieces of hair sticking out from the top and side of the roll. I proceeded to call one of the servers over and brought this to her attention, she acknowledged it and said if we didn't want to finish the rest of the rolls that's fine. There were 4-5 pieces left on the platter which we said we no longer wanted after seeing the hair.
Again we didn't make a big deal of it but at least expected her to to do or offer something for my bad experience as I almost ate that. I got up to pay and she rang up the bill for the full amount for my friend and I. I didn't tip and paid for the full amount for our meals.
I have been going to this restaurant for a very long time and I am very disappointed in the way this was handled. I shouldn't have to make a fuss or tell someone how they should handle a situation like this. After the customer identifies a problem and brought it to the staff's attention and they see and acknowledge the issue then something should have been done. Made me feel like they thought we were after a free meal...which I why I paid the bill and will never return. I used to tell all my friends this was my go to sushi spot in Brampton but the quality of food and customer service has gone down the drain
I will take my business someplace else where...
Read moreThe food was pretty good but we barely ate any of it. I would discourage anyone from coming on a holiday or in the evening because the staff do not know how to appropriately handle when their restaurant is full. We waited over two hours, and maybe got a third of our items. Itâs not like we were a big group either there were three of us. The staff focus more on take out orders for people than people who actually came out to their restaurant for a nice dinner. When we told them that we had about 12 items missing the manager said he would do a special rush order for us because something must be wrong with the iPad. He told us to reorder on the same iPad? We waited another 30 minutes for this ârush orderâ which never came. We had our newborn with us so eventually decided we needed to leave - we asked if they could pack up the ârush orderâ to go for us and the manager said âthatâs not possible.â How!? When so much of their business is takeout this sounds like a cop out. We fully saw servers bringing rolls to empty tables and instead of offering them to another table theyâd just take them back to the kitchen. Almost positive they were just giving our order to other tables. We were there from 5-7:30 and got a few pieces of sashimi, one wonton each, and a plate of short ribs. And unlimited ginger ale because thatâs all they would ever bring to our table. After that the manager conceded to give us a 15% discount (pitiful in my opinion- we paid the dinner price for maximum 5 items at an all you can eat sushi place). If itâs a weekend/evening or holiday Iâd recommend going to a nicer a la carte place downtown- youâll probably eat more there and actually be attended to/get what...
Read moreWe came as a party of seven to celebrate our friends birthday, and there were only 6 people who ate, afterwards we ask for the bill and they say that they would charge us for seven people although only 6 ate due to one having a surgery. So we began explaining that only 6 ate and we should get a birthday discount (which they did give us) but when we stated that we shouldnât have to pay for someone who didnât eat they began telling us how they saw him eat although he is not allowed which we stated. After about 20 minutes of arguing the 6 which ate 5 paid due to birthday discount. And then they tried telling us we are lying and that we would attempt a fine and dash, which makes so sense due to that fact that we have already paid. The manager began asking all his servers if our friend ate, which they all said yes although they are clearly lying through their teeth. After about her 20 minutes of arguing they tried to charge us $10 instead which is unacceptable since they are technically trying to charge us for a chair which is stupid. Since they tried to charge us for someone who didnât eat we asked if they would charge him if he sat at another table, they just started to ignore our questions because they know they were wrong. Since all the managers waiters began lying they clearly werenât fit for work and should get their eyes checked. We also asked to check the cameras of the restaurant and they said they donât have, which isnât our fault. So afterwards they gave up and asked us to leave since they were in the...
