Keenan's Irish Pub — Restaurant in Brampton

Update : This place has gone quite downhill from when it first opened. I don't know if it's because they have 2 different chefs on different days but there is NO consistency at this pub at all. Recently came in for some fish and chips and the fish was soggy while the batter on the inside was still doughy. It was my tried and true favourite here (can't mess up a fish and chip) and yet it became a huge disappointment. This is not what I paid for. Still like their calamari but not going back just for this one thing.

Original Review: I frequent this place since it opened when I visit friends in the area. The dishes are a hit or miss and the service is nice. We ordered fish and chips and Chicken wings. We did not eat the wings because they were flavorless. The beer straight from the tap was delicious. Overall, the atmosphere was good. There was a lively crowd present during their good karaoke. There's one thing about this restaurant that you should exercise caution with. The waitress will still bring you beer/drinks even after you tell her you're done and ready for the bill. Out of consideration for her, you might not refuse and let her continue. This behavior astounded us, so we waited and observed what was going on at the next table—and, dare I say it, it was exactly the same...LOL.

Our experience began with a phone call to ensure that we would be able to have a table for 5 and still do the 'safe distance'. The young lady was very helpful over the phone and even thanked me for giving her 'head's up'. When we arrived, as promised our table was ready. It turned out that the young lady who had answered the phone was the same one that was to be our server. The service through our entire meal was above and beyond exceptional. The food was fantastic. My grandson's first words, upon tasting the wings, were 'this is how wings are supposed to taste'. I have been 'told' that Keenan's is the only place they want to go, if going out for dinner, when they come down from Peterborough. Service...
