I ordered from Tandoori Boys through Uber Eats, and overall, it was a mixed experience with more misses than hits.
I took advantage of their Buy 1 Get 1 offer on the tandoori chicken legs, but honestly, it just wasn’t worth it. Both pieces were really dry and overcooked, they lacked flavor and were missing that juicy, smoky quality you’d expect from good tandoori chicken.
The Amritsari fish tikka was okay. The fish was cooked well enough, but it was under-seasoned and needed more salt. It just didn’t have that bold flavor I was hoping for.
The butter chicken was disappointing too. It was far too sweet and had an overpowering tomato flavor. It didn’t taste like the authentic, buttery, creamy version I know and love. It felt more like sweet tomato curry than proper butter chicken.
The mutton curry was probably the best dish out of everything. The meat was tender and well-cooked, and the gravy had a nice flavor to it, although even that leaned surprisingly sweet. I’m not sure why most of the gravies seemed to have a sugary undertone, which threw things off.
Now, the highlight of the meal was actually the dal makhani, which also came with a Buy 1 Get 1 offer. It was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced — no complaints at all. I’d definitely order that again.
One small issue with the order was the packaging. The small chutney container was placed at the bottom of the bag with heavier boxes stacked on top, which caused it to tip and some of the butter chicken gravy spilled into the bag. Not a huge deal since the butter chicken wasn’t great anyway, but still a bit messy and careless.
Overall, it was a bit of a letdown. Aside from the dal makhani and maybe the mutton curry, most of the food didn’t live up to expectations.
I’d give it 2.5 out of 5.
Great dal, decent mutton, but everything else just...
