Lena's Roti & Doubles — Restaurant in Brampton

I ordered from Lena' s Brampton location a few times now but through online food delivery services. Today I decided to go to the restaurant because I've been longing for good doubles. Got there ordered my doubles, told the girl I want mild pepper not medium. I'm not a pepper fan but with doubles, mild pepper elevates it. I ordered a cream soda solo and went to wait for my food. Opened the solo, there was no fizz and it was flat. Looked at the cover and I noticed a brown substance on it. Took it bk to the girl, told her it's no good, got another one. This time I opened it in front of her, same thing. Anyways took and LLB instead. Doubles came. The Bara was sooooo rubbery and chewy I couldn't bite into it or pull it apart and it was sooooo hot from pepper I could bearly eat 2 and I ordered 4. I placed an online order via Uber Eats on April 25th at 5:59 pm for the 3 veggie platter with buss up shut and 2 doubles. Unfortunately, this meal left me quite disappointed.

While the doubles were mediocre, the main issue was with the platter. The quantity of food was generous, and the flavour of the curries was present. However, the texture was a major letdown. The bhagi (spinach) was completely pulverized, resembling baby food in consistency and an unnaturally vibrant green – it made me wonder if food colouring was used, perhaps to aid in defrosting? Furthermore, the aloo and channa curry was bone dry and crumbly. To top it off, the portion of buss up shut was insufficient for the amount of curry provided. The roti itself was doughy and tasted like it was bordering on stale.

I was really looking forward to a nice meal, but this order unfortunately missed the mark. The food lacked love and I would refrain from putting this in my body. The remainder went in...

Had a craving for doubles and I was not disappointed coming to Lena’s. First time here but will be a return customer. The best doubles I have ever had. Seriously; every place I have ever had doubles the outside shell is very greasy but not here! They were fluffy and fresh; so good!! They were not greasy at all. They held together perfectly and wow, they were filled to the brim. Very flavourful.. with a pleasant after taste which was awesome! If you haven’t been here; you have to check it out.
