Pannu's has truly outdone itself with its vibrant and inviting gol gappe stand! Walking up, you're immediately struck by the absolutely amazing decorations – it's a riot of color, traditional motifs, and playful elements that perfectly capture the spirit of Indian street food. Every detail, from the twinkling lights to the intricate patterns, makes for an incredibly immersive and enjoyable atmosphere. It's clear that a lot of love and effort has gone into making this stand a visual delight, and it genuinely enhances the whole gol gappe experience. And what an experience it is! The gol gappe themselves are fantastic. Each puri is perfectly crisp, breaking with a satisfying crunch to release the burst of flavorful pani. They offer a great range of pani options, from tangy to spicy, allowing you to customize your bite. The potato and chickpea filling is fresh and well-spiced, providing a delightful contrast in textures and tastes. It's evident they use quality ingredients, and the classic street food flavors are spot on. My only suggestion for Pannu's to achieve that perfect five-star rating would be to consider adding more staff, especially at peak times. While the current team is incredibly friendly and works hard, there can be a bit of a wait, particularly for the ever-popular gol gappe. With the stand's undeniable popularity and the meticulous, individualized preparation of each gol gappa, an extra set of hands or two would significantly improve the flow and reduce wait times, ensuring everyone gets to enjoy these delicious treats without delay. Overall, Pannu's is a gem. The gol gappe are delicious and authentic, and the decorations are absolutely stunning – a true standout. With a little more support on the staffing front, this could easily be the premier gol gappe spot in town. Four stars and highly recommended for anyone craving a truly delightful Indian street...
Read moreWe saw a reel for Unlimited pani puri and went there to see a long lineup. We chose to sit inside and ordered something else. It took them 3 minutes to notice that we were waiting at the door to be seated. Then it took them another 10 minutes to take our order. They were more interested in selling off their free naans with a main course offer than listening to our orders of two appetizers. The Amritsari Naan was good. Although the quantity of the chanas and yogurt can be debated. But all in all, a wholesome meal. Then we had ordered Chaat Ghotala was a disappointment as it had barely any taste and had stale chanas. Then we ordered Rogan Style Chicken which they took like 30 minutes to prepare. The dish was spicy and not sure why but it got us stomach cramps the next day. I am unsure of which dish had an issue due to which we all faced stomach aches the next morning.
The washrooms were not maintained and there were flies (not fruit flies but actual large size flies) over our meal the entire duration. We thought of complaining but it took them 20 minutes to come to our table to attend to our complaint. When we told the lady about it, she said she is sorry and left. Least she could have done was to change our table or something! But no!
Decor wise, it seemed like the restaurant was made out of a banquet hall and the staff was literally pushing around the tables and sofas to accomodate a...
Read moreThe two star is only for Aman who changed our mood - heard us and got us dessert on house. Let me share my experience – it was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING The place lacked basic organization. There were no signs or clear instructions on how to get seated. One staff member told me to wait on the side, while another directed people to form a line in a completely different area. Amid the confusion, some guests just walked straight to tables without speaking to anyone. I stood in line patiently, only to feel like being polite was a disadvantage — apparently, being assertive (or rude) is what gets you ahead here.
When I raised my concern, the server casually mentioned that those people had reserved tables — which only added to my frustration. After waiting for 1.5 hours, we were finally seated. But the chaos didn’t stop there. Multiple servers came by repeatedly asking the same question — “Did you place your order?” — yet no one handed us menus or even gave us water.
It felt like complete mismanagement. All we wanted was to try their highly promoted Amritsari Kulcha, but the experience left us upset and irritated. While sitting there, I checked their Google reviews — and found five recent negative reviews highlighting the exact same issues.
Clearly, this isn’t a one-off — they seriously need to fix how...
