I visited this restaurant yesterday with my mom, who is visiting from Panama. We were excited to try authentic Indian food, and since the reviews were great, I chose this place in Brampton even though I don’t live there.
The food itself was delicious, and overall the experience wasn’t terrible, but it was uncomfortable at times. I don’t speak fluent English, but I try my best to communicate. I felt the servers became frustrated with me because of the language barrier and accents. They never stopped smiling, but the frustration was visible.
The part that really made me feel bad was when I asked for my food to go. One of the servers said something I didn’t understand, and then she bent down closer to my face and shouted “a bag.” Only then I realized what she meant. This happened in front of other customers, and I felt humiliated. I didn’t say anything because she seemed upset (it even looked like she had been crying), and I didn’t want to make her day worse.
Still, when I got home, I decided to follow the restaurant on Instagram because I did like the food. I saw a post about “5 reasons to visit,” and one of them was “free dessert with every meal.” I commented that I had visited but was never offered dessert. I wasn’t complaining or asking for anything free; I just expected a polite reply, maybe an apology or acknowledgment. Instead, they deleted or hide my comment.
Honestly, that felt worse than being shouted at. And that is the reason I’m leaving this review because deleting feedback instead of addressing it shows very poor...
Read moreWe had an amazing time having dinner today at this restaurant. Special thanks to our servers Tanveer and Arman who made our dine in so special with apt table service. Really appreciate their efforts.
Now talking about the food we ordered 2 appetizers the chicken lollipop and the Amritsari fish , the lollipop was just amazing just perfect to hit the spot spicy and crispy as we wanted. The amritsari fish on the other hand was ok but too filled with besan(gram flour )I felt so. Would have been great if less besan (gram flour) was used. On mains we ordered goat kadhai which was just too good, the chilli fish was sweet won’t recommend it so much, but the veg fried rice was amazing we just loved it. The quantities are the best for the price you pay. That’s the reason of the popularity I believe. The mocktails were good too we ordered virgin mojito and fresh lime soda, the later was the best. Over all a good experience I would say with live music to cover the feel of the vibe. They also gave us complimentary gulab jamun at the end which was just cherry on the cake. Superb service and amazing food. Deserves beyond 5 stars I would say. My go to spot when I’m in Brampton from next time. I bet. Very...
Read moreWe went to Punjab Land for the first time for Dining-in. The restaurant has a good atmosphere & decorum.
We ordered multiple Appetizers, Main Courses & received complementary dessert as well. The food was super super delectable, every bite of each dish was fantastic & very well prepared. Their Manchurian, Malayi Soya Champ, Vegetarian Spring Rolls are top notch. The lemon soda was incredible as well. The portions are good sized & they followed proper instructions for spice levels, including dry fruits or not in some dishes etc.
We received complementary Indian Paapar's immediately upon arrival which was great. After finishing Dinner, we again received complementaty Dessert: their signature Gulab Jamuns which were awesome too.
From starting till end of the dinner we were served by Simran who was extremely cooperative, responded timely throughout, and took good care of guests. She made sure all our food ordered arrived in time and absolutely as per our requests.
I highly recommend this place for dining-in if looking for great food at very competitive prices too. Hope they always continue maintaing the same food preparation levels even later in the...
