Farm Boy — Restaurant in Brantford

Had an awesome experience when I went to pick up some different prepared foods to help my wife celebrate her birthday. The lady who prepared and baked my fresh margarita pizza was so friendly and shot the breeze with me until he pizza was made. When I told her it was my wife’s birthday she wrote “Happy Birthday from Farmboy” inside the box. I thanked her and went on to the teller with my load of stuff to scan. This lady was just as nice, shooting the breeze and telling me how good the choices of different foods I had were. Once I paid, she then asked if I was ok to bring the stuff out since there was quite a load, and I hadn’t brought a cart. I didn’t need need the help, but again I was thankful for the effort and customer service in general. Most people would probably have just expected this from these two ladies, but I really appreciated the effort and smiles. It made a really hectic day so much better. ...

I ordered a re-heatable meal and maybe I misunderstood this meal but ALL INSTRUCTIONS say REheat. BUT nothing is cooked. I’m confused. After 15 mins in the oven the pork is NOT cooked and the flattened chicken on the BBQ is NOT cooked after 15 mins on the BBQ. It turned out to be a hour ordeal. I ordered this to have an easy dinner but while everyone was waiting for their food I was cooking (not re-heating a few things in the oven)... I WAS VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED. It does fed a lot of people - we were 6 adults and 2 small children and still had a couple of things left over (but not much). I love farmboy and their product (this is why the 2 star instead of 1) but this is not as advertised.

I could of shopped inside the store and made this from my grocery list and paid half the price. The only thing that I'm not sure I could of bought off the shelf was caramelized onion jam - I believe the reheat meals...

First time shopper, bought three sandwiches all of them were lovely. 2 turkey club and a roast beef. We bought a few items from the bakery and we enjoyed those too. I really enjoyed seeing another fresh fish counter we do not have enough of those in Brantford. My son also bought a few items for his lunch the spaghetti and meatballs the chicken fried rice and he really enjoyed them. The only suggestion I have is that you put lids on your hot buffet trays at least during slower times. I use to own a restaurant and lids benefit in reducing bacteria, and maintaining proper temperature not to mention the quality of taste and appearance would drastically improve. The quality of products at this store is high and should be displayed at all times to reflect that. This expresses to the consumer that Farm Boy is a cut above all other grocery stores.
