Johnny Greeko's — Restaurant in Brantford

I like to get Johnny greekos food for take out it’s decent Greek food however I’m not happy with my recent experience. I called in an order ahead and was about five minutes late, they were very busy with a long line up when I did arrive, but they are NOT set up for quick pick up, except if your an Uber eats they have a separate line for that!! I proceeded to try and go to that line to get my food while it was hot and couldn’t understand if they took my order on the phone certainly they were set up to go in and out right? I tried to again speak to a nice cook saying that is my order (pointing) can I not just go on the second register where the uber delivery people were waiting, he stated my only option was to wait an additional 15 min back of the line up. When I finally got to the cash the lady ended up cashing me out on the other said cash, I asked what discount I was getting for the cold food and wait and she said none it should be still warm. I tried the calimari in the car and it was stone cold but not going back and eating more time. It just amazes me why they would even take the call ahead order, all you are getting is unhappy customers! Thumbs down to that - they are busy as there is not a lot of other establishments for greek take out and like I said normally their food is good but never call ahead and honestly not sure why people use Uber eats either but that’s their business. Just know either way you will get cold food - I gave a chance to redeem themselves but they are not empowered to do that - so I will never go there again. Hope they take this as a “fix your set up right away” and also with other locations coming...

This place is hands down the BEST Greek food in town!! Locally owned, (although they did expand to have a Paris and Kitchener location, which is awesome) the food and service is amazing!! I have never been disappointed by them!! Things I have tried: Sparta bowl on rice, Apollo bowl on rice, Poseidon bowl on rice, falafel bowl on rice, and the beef and lamb gyro pita. I honestly can’t pick a favourite, they were all so incredibly delicious, and filling! Each time I had enough for leftovers for the next day’s lunch!! The service is incredibly fast, with super friendly staff! One secret I learned since ordering from them, the best way to get your order fast is to call in advance and order a pick up for a later time. For instance, I usually call around 3:30pm for a 5:15pm pick up, and from there it’s super easy. Walk in at 5:15pm, say the order name, pay and walk out with the delicious food! Bam! Authentic Greek food, fresh ingredients, and it’s actually less expensive than most fast food places, considering the amount of food you get per order. Next, I’ll have to try one of the platters, which would be perfect for a large gathering, like a family reunion. CHEFS...

So todays spotlight is Johnny Greeko's. I am relatively new to the world of Greek food so I ordered what I thought that I might like. The menu had many different options from gyros to souvlaki to burgers to fries. The gyros and souvlaki give you options of what toppings and sauces you want so that you can customize to your liking. I loaded mine with veg and chose the garlic sauce as my sauce choice. I love how fresh the toppings were and how great everything went together. Then the fries which were the REAL hero here. There are 2 or 3 options of topped fries. I chose the simple greek fries topped with Feta and a garlic sauce. The fries themselves were the stars. They were cooked perfectly and the seasoning blend was amazing. So flavorful and crispy and the toppings were like the icing on the cake. I did want to order dessert but unfortunately they were out of chocolate baklava so I will have to order it next time because I bet its great! For anyone looking for great greek food I highly recommend trying...
