McDonald's — Restaurant in Brantford

I have never had a problem here until today… The ONE and ONLY time I wear Islamic attire and order a “Chicken McMuffin” there is randomly 3 ripped up pieces of bacon hidden in the cheese!

Nobody was ahead of me and the other food I ordered was none pork as well, so that could only mean it was added to the one sandwich with cheese on PURPOSE.

Within the wrapper as well there were bacon bits sprinkled on top! I told myself it must be an accident but after seeing the bacon bits methodically placed in the cheese it can’t be!

The Sandwich: Bottom English Muffin Chicken Sauce Hand shredded chunks of bacon Cheese Top English Muffin Bacon Bits Sprinkled On Top (not covered in sauce or cheese)

Facts: 1.A sandwich with no bacon variant would never have bacon unless it’s an accident. 2.If there are no strips of bacon it must be leftover from the grill or PURPOSELY sprinkled on. 3.If it’s an ACCIDENT it would not only be ON TOP of the sandwich secured by cheese so it wouldn’t fall out. 4.After putting the Top Slice Of English Muffin there would not be bacon sprinkled ON TOP by accident, that is not a thing! McDonald’s does not randomly garnish the tops of their sandwiches.

I have been coming here weekly for morning coffees, occasional lunches etc and have never had a problem, this was my favourite location to come too.

The 1 time I wear Islamic attire though and this happens cannot be a coincidence, mathematically the probability of all of these things simultaneously happening at once is the same as if

Too long didn't read: wrong orders. Poor customer service. Rude. Real potential for not following food safety and local health guidelines.

Ordered Double cheeseburgers and a big Mac. Doubles had only one patty on all burgers. One burger had 2 cheese slices as required for the build. Other 2 had one. Big Mac had no cheese.

2 burgers were revenged by the worker for placing an order by having 3-4 oz of ketchup and handful of onion as well.

Returned and was very upset. If food builds cannot be followed how can the Covid-19 rules be followed by staff?

Advised I understand things get made wrong to the supervisor. But for all items in a meal to be incorrect is a big error, especially when the corporate standards are being deviated from. How can I have confidence they will and have followed these rules? Asked for money back as I was not willing to feed myself or my family remade spite burgers in a restaurant that seems to not care. I further explained having worked this job as a youth I understand things don't always go to plan. I was told to then understand it's kids working there and to not expect perfect orders due to this.

This was the rudest interaction I've had with McDonald's let alone any corporate company. The worst way I've seen a supervisor deal with a clearly upset patron and was left more than unsatisfied.

If you eat here please keep in mind there are corners cut (even if not maliciously) at this location. Your health might be at risk. Again, if build guides/charts/assembly flow chart cannot be followed, how can I ensure they follow Covid-19 best practices? They most likely are not consistently following them just the like food assembly in the kitchen. Best prediction of future behaviour is based on...

Decent fast food at reasonable prices. I like their coffee better than Timmy's

March 2024 update: Recently went under renovations. The newly redesidned interior is more modern looking but offers far fewer seats for dine in. The booths are gone, and tables with 2 seater benches and movable chairs are now in their place. The main entrance area next to where the play area was now only seats 8 people max on 3 tables instead of the 20ish or so with the booths, tables and counter ledge space that used to look into the play area. They removed the televisions and fireplace area and added a raised table area with stools that seats 8. They completely removed the pop dispenser machines. There's one small ketchup dispensor and napkins station now. The order counter no longer has displays for the muffins, cookies, and donuts, so you can't see what they even have in stock. Edit June 2025: Homeless begging for money around outside and even inside the building. Kids ride their bikes / rollerblade inside, bumping into tables and people.
