Service was awful - I had my drink almost immediately even though she asked what I'd wanted before I was sitting down. I asked if I could have the drink menu and a minute, to which she replied, "Drink... thirsty?" Whiles moving her hand to her mouth as if having a drink in case I was deaf or mentally challenged based on the wide eyes and slight tilt of the head. Walked past us several times after serving the drink, which she then asked the table that arrived after us if they wanted to order. Asked her kindly to take our order as we'd been there for an hour now. She didn't have her paper or pen, so she had to go fetch it. Half an hour later, she returns, writes down our order of appetizers as we don't have enough time for anything else now, and we asked for another drink along with the bill so we could hurry things along. Brings us our drink, no bill. Food comes out, we eat... still no bill. My Dad walks to the front to pay our bill and use the restroom while I finish up. Lady finally comes up and asks if her counterpart took care of us because she's "such a sweetheart." When I advised her that she didn't, we went up and took care of ourselves she replied "well at least it's done." I asked for to-go boxes, which she was very hasty about, though, good thing as...
Read moreMy wife and I went to this location for her recent birthday dinner. Neither of us could recall the last time we were at a Montana's. After our visit last night, we realized we have been missing out and will come back without such a wait between visits.
There were menu options that are gluten friendly/free which is great. It allowed my wife to enjoy a dinner out while meeting her dietary needs. The size of the servings were more than adequate for us. The ribs were amazing - they came out piping hot; full of flavour and oh so tender. The fries were lukewarm, however, after mentioning this to our server, Karlee; they were replaced right away with steaming hot, fresh fries.
When we mentioned that it was my wife's birthday, they let us know she could have a complimentary desert. The only problem was that, in spite of having gluten friendly options for the main course; there are no such options for desert. While not a deal breaker, it was disappointing in that she missed out on the little perk.
Our server, Karlee was attentive; friendly and very welcoming. She certainly made us feel at home.

Read moreI have very mixed emotions about my experience today. I went in with my dog and asked for a patio seat as most restaurants in the area allow dogs on the patio, and are even served a bowl of water (Which our waitress did for us without asking! Amazing) We were seated by a waitress who admitted she hadn’t seen it occur at this Montana's. She didn’t want to run the risk of an animal being left in the car, and allowed us to enjoy the patio (I would never, but it’s always best to err on the side of caution). What was truly disturbing was the management, they blatantly yelled at her, gave aggressive body language and was pointing to us from inside (we saw through the window). If dogs weren’t allowed, management could have nicely asked us to leave….. there was no need for the hostility against our waitress. Yet despite it all, she severed us with respect and kindness. She managed to smile every time she approached the table and be positive. I hope her self regulation is acknowledged and she is given an apology. She was...
