Noodlebox — Restaurant in Brantford

Today I was super tired and in no mood to cook and was thinking I should try something different besides the standard, burgers, pizza, burritos, chicken wings ect... I thought maybe today would be the day to try Noodlebox. I went before running errands knowing there would be a 30+ minute wait. I went in to order and noticed lots of young folks working really hard. I was told the wait would be 45 minutes which I was completely prepared for. I ordered the Teriyaki box with the standard noodles and added some crispy chicken. I ran some errands and came back on time for pick up and it was hot and ready within the time they said it would be ready. I picked up the bag and noticed how heavy it was. Great sign because that means you get a good amount of food for your money as the noodle box came to around $16.00. While driving home it smelled super good. The noodles were super fresh, soft and delicious. The bean sprouts and veggies were super fresh and perfectly cooked. The chicken was crispy and delicious and spread throughout. The portion was enough to last 2 meals or feed 2 people. I want to give huge kudos to the young staff working in a hot restaurant, filling an INSANE amount of orders. Tonight ended a long term connection to this resturaunt due to one of the worst customer service experiences I have had in awhile. The food here is superb but a particular female staff member on numerous occasions has left my partner and I feeling uncomfortable due to watching us while we pay and tip every time. On top on that, tonight when I returned home form a long day, my order was completely wrong. After calling to ask if there was anything that could be done, I was faced with no options or even an apology from the employee who took the order. While placing the order, I had asked for a different protein than the one usually assigned to the noodle box I chose, and they instead added multiple proteins which I do not eat. After bringing this to their attention, I was told it was my fault. When I asked if there was anything they could do, considering my order was over $50 and we are regular customers, the employee said no with no remorse. It is so unfortunate as my partner and I have loved coming here and now will not be returning due to this employees actions. We have had a lovely experience with other employees in the past but tonight the complete lack of customer service from this person shows how one unprofessional employee can be detrimental...

I've been waiting to give this place a try when I noticed it was going to open soon. I'd say it was a pretty good meal overall! I like how customizable you can make your order. Butter Chicken with rice noodles instead of rice? You can do that! I ordered a Pad Thai with crispy tofu and scorching hot. It was pretty good! They added a fried egg on top which was nice. Also, the spiciness absolutely lives up to its name! Scorching hot is legitimately spicy just so you are aware. I'd love to try other combinations and maybe find that one that is the greatest! Also, I think the person who took my order is named Jay? That's what I heard, could be wrong. They were very friendly and willing to explain how it all works. This place is worth checking out!

Edit: After going here a few times, trying the various dishes, there is one common problem among them all. They make them way too spicy when ordering mild. I personally like spicy food, but those I order for tell me it's too spicy even though I ordered mild, the lowest level. Also, their naan that comes with the butter chicken is the smallest, sorry looking naan you've ever seen. They want $5 for THAT? Don't get me wrong, this place is still good, just not...
