I have never written a review before, but I felt that It would be a disservice to the city/neighbourhood to not share my negative experience. I was trying to find a way to place my order at this location without having to go through a third party app so I could just pick up my order at the time I specified and get home for my wife’s birthday in a neighbouring town. I found an email address (in what I thought may have been a store contact) and wrote my order via email during the day. This is something I have done with other restaurants before. Before I drove home from work, I checked to see if there was a response to the email (which there wasn’t), which made me think that perhaps the order might not be ready when I got there. But, I thought it was fine if it wasn’t... and I’d just order it in store if that was the case. So when I walked in the store, I walked up to the cashier and told her that I tried to place an order and showed her the email address. She said that it was the owner’s email address, but didn’t seem interested in the least to engage in any conversation that would lead to a sale. Feeling a bit unsettled, I said how I found the email address when just trying to look up how to place an order online. She said I could have used a third party app or just called the store, with quite a wry expression. In spite of the unpleasant and unwelcome feeling I was receiving, I thought I’d place the order anyways, and make a light comedic comment on my error. Still no smile or friendly customer service. There was another girl behind the counter, and this girl proceeded to put the meat on the grill. The same girl from the cash register asked me what kind of pita bread I wanted. There were four pitas that I ordered: two petitas and two regulars. I told her that the first two petitas were whole wheat, and when I then told her what the two regulars were, I had a general feeling that she had tuned out a bit, or the grill girl was talking to her about something else. But, I thought to myself if she didn’t hear me, she would likely ask again. Then, after steaming the pitas they both started to tear open the pockets of the pitas, all the while talking to each other about general juvenile life issues. I noticed when they were doing this, they weren’t doing it very carefully, and making holes and a general mess of my pitas. Even at this point, I’m still saying to myself “It will be fine. It will be very messy, but it will be fine”. When the cashier girl finally broke away from her conversation with the grill girl, she asked me what I wanted on the regular pitas. When I asked which one was the whole wheat pita, she proceeded to tell me that I told her that they were both on white and was steadfast on going ahead and garnishing my pitas. At this point I’m reaching a bit of a breaking point and tired of feeling like I’m the one in the wrong, when in fact I’m the one giving them the business. So, I said sternly, “No, I said one white and one whole wheat for the regular pitas”. She scoffed a bit and seemed almost shocked that I didn’t just let this go like everything else leading up to this point. And, then both girls gave scornful looks to each other and right then and there I asked for my money back. I couldn’t believe I had to do that. I’ve never done that in my life. The grill girl looked shocked, and looked at the meat cooking on the grill, and didn’t offer a response right away. But then both of them came to the cash to fulfill my refund request. When I took my $40 in cash back I said thank you, and walked towards the exit. On my way out the cashier girl said “Have a nice day”, which ironically was the most friendly thing she said to me throughout the entire...
Read moreMy power went out last week around 6 pm and was told it wouldnt be back on until around 11:30pm so around 10minutes to 8 i left to go to pita pit on king george road. I arrived at approx.. 8pm ( an hour before close) and ordered 3 pitas, 2x philly steaks, and 1x spicy twisted buffalo.
Both the philly steaks where ordered with triple mushroom/ onion/pepper, ended up with hardly any of the items asked to be done on the grill.
The twisted was ordered with mushrooms on the grill, never happened. The chicken was on the grill for all of 2minutes I didnt put much on the pita for toppings and when they where done putting it togethier it was falling apart (but not to badly) i asked if they could grill all 3 and was told "No we already cleaned it". i was kind of confused by it and responded okay no worries and carried on my way ( wish i went to another pita pit at that point). When i got home all 3 pitas where STONE COLD as if they had been left out for hours. All this and it...
Read moreToday I was craving a pita after many months & went to this location: 185 King George Rd, Brantford, ON N3R 6S8
I had ordered a Buffalo Chicken pita with Fresh Baked Pita Chips - $ 3.49.
I’m am attaching a picture of what was given to me &please be the judge if this is the way people are supposed to eat these Pita chips?
These Pita Chips appear to be burnt & all the crumbs are on the pita & I am not even going to attempt to even eat these as when something doesn’t appear appetizing why would anyone want to eat them.
I don’t not need an email or anything, Businesses & especially in the food industry service should be in a way where you should never have to say “I’m Sorry” & food should be given in a way that you yourself would want to eat. I suppose the staff at this location enjoy their pita chips like this.
I have had Pita Chips before & this is this 1st time I have ever been...
