Arrived at the Brantford restaurant for our 5:30 reservation. Cold reception by the hostess she seemed annoyed we walked through the door. The bar was busy for an event but the rest of the restaurant was not busy yet. They were setting up for a large table coming in but they were still not at full capacity with once that table arrived. We ordered our drinks:ice tea, coke, wine and a Stella. . The waitress asked if we wanted to spend $1.99 for a larger beer we said yes.The Stella was put in a warm glass mentioned to the waitress she said she knew. Why would she upsell that size of beer knowing they have no frosty glasses and only warm glasses from the dishwasher? Waitress brought the drinks, we then ordered the appetizers. We had to flag down the waitress to put our food order in she was spending all her time at the bar socializing. The manager actually brought our appetizers the spinach dip had maybe a tablespoon of dip spend our very thinly in the cast iron and the nacho appetizer was half burnt. The Kitchen nor the manager seemed to notice this and served it anyway. We mentioned this to the waitress and she picked up the plate really angry. Our food came out the chicken and fingers and fries were perfect, the Rigatoni with chicken breast came out with burnt chicken and both the burgers were cold , the cheese did not even come close to melting on either burger. The waitress never came back to our table she spent her time at the bar, we flagged down the manager and expressed our concerns. He apologized his solution was to remove the appetizer off the bill and lower the charge of the burgers. We reordered the pasta dish brought it home and the chicken was still burnt. I took pictures. As I was packing up the table a glass fell off the table as the waitress never came back to the table to clear anything. The hostess who should have her hair tied back working around food came to clean up the glass was very rude, to which I told her she didn’t need to act like that I did not break the glass on purpose. She ignored me again our waitress never came back We had to ask the manager for bill. We are big tippers and do appreciate servers but this experience was a nightmare thus no tip which bothers me. The entertainment of the night was a bar fight and a guy at the bar with no shirt, most likely over served drinks. My husband said the mens restroom was disgusting mess with urine everywhere. The waitress needs training and to understand that just because people are not at the bar they deserve service and attention as well. We have been to this locations on several occasions with mostly positive experiences but this night was beyond horrible will not be returning my I laws were not impressed the bill was still over $125.00. We then took the guys to Burger King they got the burgers right. I have already provided details to your website no need to send me the link. Read moreI would rate this lower than a one star if I could. I was at this location on Saturday with a group of 10 and it was the worst dining experience of my/our life. The manager assigned a brand new waitress to our table and should never have done that. We weren't ordering anything complicated and she couldn't handle her duties. After half the party ordered drinks which were brought fairly quickly, she took the remainder of the drink orders and brought all but one then disappeared for about 10-15 minutes. She came back with the last drink and finally was able to take orders. We asked for the kids's foods to be brought first since we were already seated for at least half an hour and they were impatient. One of the kids meals was put on a dirty plate and their food was cold (pasta and fries). The food started coming out but they lost all control on who ordered what. They brought food to our table that we didn't order and then after 8 of the guests were served the waitresses ended up giving the rest of the food to the table behind us. One of our wing orders was delivered to the wrong guest at our table mistakenly. Then the last order of wings took very very very long to come. When it finally came out it was the wrong order and they said they would remake the proper order. It then took another 20 minutes so I asked for the manager and he said he would go track it down and never returned. Everyone else was almost done their food and my order still never showed up. The waitress was never anywhere to be seen and we had to bother 2 other waitresses to address other concerns like dirty plates, more drinks, water etc. The manager was so timid and clueless and should not have that job. My wings came at the 1.5 hr mark and I couldnt even eat them since the rest of our guests were done. On insistence I had the bills all adjusted for their lack of service and incompetence. When all orders were paid I asked our waitress (time 3 of asking anyone) for lids to my wings she said sure no problem and walked behind the bar to chat with another waitress. It was absurdity. We waited for almost 45 minutes for our food (4 adults and 3 kids) - the meals were luke warm, at best - and two of the kids meals didn’t arrive until 25 mins later!! I had to go and find cutlery for the table as we sat with food but no forks, took nearly 10 mins waiting at the kitchen entrance to get them. We all ate cold dinners by then and one person at the table couldn’t even eat it. We asked to speak to a manager….I’ve worked in the hospitality industry for over 15 years and I have never encountered a more unprofessional, rude and ignorant manager ever. We were calmly explaining what had happened (timing and temperature etc) and he immediately got defensive and started lashing out at US. Basically made it seem like he did us a favour by even searing us in his restaurant. It was bizarre. Then, offered to comp my friends meal (because she didn’t eat it, it was freezing cold). When we finally got the bill and noticed that he did not discount what he said he would, we asked him about it. After much discussion, he said he would take 50% off. So we left the 50% plus a $10 tip for the server (which we felt was still quite generous considering). He came running out after us and threatening to call the cops and said he changed his mind about the discount.
