This review is not related to their food , but their service. If anybody receives order from this restaurant on skip, uber or doordash. Kindly decline it. As no matter if u reach the store at given pickup time, wait for 4-5 minutes looking at their counter and someone to attend you.And upon attending they will tell you they are making the order and it will be ready in 2 minutes, they will make you wait 15-20 minutes. Trust me 2 minutes is equal to 20 minutes for them. Honestly saying I’ve had this same experience every time I’ve did delivery order for them. Very unprofessional and careless conduct. Will never recommend.
Update- I have no idea who’s Jagjit. You might be talking about someone else’s issue. I can provide you detailed list of all the 4 times skip + 1 personal order i picked up from your restaurant from past to till now when i had to wait 25+ minutes above the order pickup time. You can see others reviews very well on same issue. Then I’ve no problem with you or any restaurant, I’ve been doing deliveries job from long time, i have always honestly given reviews about places, be it good or be bad. Your unprofessional and disrespectful review proves my point very right about you and your stores operations. I wish the quickly you responded to my review, wish you or your employees worked that properly and got those orders ready on time. No time wasted and i never had to put...
Read moreTooling around in my car on Canada Day, listening to a program about Butter Chicken on CBC, gave me a hankering.
Since I was almost in Brantford, I did a quick search and The Crispy Bites came up first. Corner entrance, a bit run down but clean and bright. The owner and his wife were very friendly and something smelled really good as soon as I walked in the door. I ordered a large Butter Chicken on rice, some Naan and a slice of beautifully crafted chocolate and whipped cream cake to go. It took about 20 minutes (I was warned); I'm pretty sure they made it from scratch. I actually read a newspaper while I waited, first time in a long time. I took the food to go and had a kind of lonely one man picnic in Victoria Park. Despite the lack of company, I was not disappointed at all by the food. It was probably more than enough for two, but...
Very tasty, perfect rice, juicy chicken, rich and slightly spicy sauce, and the cake was first rate.
A little pricey but worth every penny.
I'll be back.
PS - Ask for a knife. The chicken was in very large chunks, and a wooden fork, though sturdy and much better than a plastic utensil doesn't function very well as a knife. Let's just say I made do. Yum!
PPS - The photo shows only a couple of chunks of chicken in the dinner, lots more hiding under the...
Read moreIt was a Cold night after 1 am. I'm walking the down town for somthing to eat. I pass lonnies and admirals both local legends...closed. I continue my search When off in the distance I see the glow of an open sign. I think to my self, no way there's somthing open. The thought of food draws me in to find out and to my surprise. A place is starting out with with 24 hour Hot food. I go in and ask the staff what they recommended. In an accent that told me all I needed to know about the food. he asked if I was a vegetarian or meat option, of which I chose the latter and I was recommended the butter chicken Rice bowl. They cooked the chicken fresh, the rice was perfect and not clumpy despite the late time I ordered. Honestly it was a great experience and as a person who often is trying to eat after conventional hours I find this as a more healthy...
