Visited Earl Haig on Saturday August 12 with a group totalling 5 - our group arrived at 11:30 a.m. and departed at 2:30 p.m.
Upon entering we were met with very well trained and knowledgeable staff, they were able to answer all the questions we had during our entire visit.
We were pleased that this venue accepts the Access2Entertainment card, making this a very inclusive water park for those with disabilities.
Food was reasonably priced and made fresh, there is also a section you can dress with condiments. Hotdogs are $2 and Hamburgers are $3.
The water park during our visit had a perfect amount of swimmers, not too many, the number of swimmers increased as the day aged. The water was a perfect temperature in the pool but it was a little colder in the lazy river.
Our group also purchased a round of mini golf, prior to our arrival it rained and 2 holes were flooded and unusable. We had issues with some of the double holes and the ball not making it through to the other end when entering tunnels. Overall, despite the minor inconveniences we had a great time with mini putt.
We did also run into an issue with the lockers in the women’s washroom eating quarters and not allowing the user to retrieve the key, the front desk staff assisted in finding us usable lockers.
Sadly we also wanted to experience the batting cages which we were advised is broken, with no ETA for repair as “there is no one to call to fix it” , this was also a huge bummer.
What made up for everything was definitely the free...

We went for a 1/2 day trip here on the weekend to check out some alternative destinations in our area.
Pro's you can bring your own food for a picnic, they have a BBQ area for rent if you bring grille items.
The wait in line was excessively long for admission even with 4 staff members working (disjointed process move here to go there feeling, not very efficient)
They have a few tubes free of charge for lazy river (not enough) and they didn't have an ample supply of rentable tubes so you can have your own (our preference). The current was fast enough that you can sort of bob in the water and continuously push off to get the experience. Eventually a friendly person gave one of the free tubes to my daughter, so we all held on to get the relaxing experience.
While facility is old and you can feel it, it is well maintained (ie no sharp edges, crumbling rocks or anything to hurt yourself on) and sufficiently staffed for safety.
I can't comment on the mini put in the middle of the grounds as we did not partake.
For the price of admission I don't feel you get the full value for your dollar.
Their concessions are very reasonably priced, I can't comment to quality as we brought a healthy summer veg, dip, fruit, cheese, cracker spread to enjoy.
I was tempted by the hockey arena style nachos and cheese though (it's been years since I had that)
All in all it's good for a day distraction but won't make for lasting...
Read moreI had such a terrible experience coming here. First off all, there is no parking for the amount of the ppl who visit this place. If you can’t find parking, you will have to park at the plaza across the street and then walk it. Secondly, they do have lockers available for rent and if you get the lockers outside by the pool, they give you a key which is so annoying cause you have to carry that key with you in the water.
When it comes to the lazy river, it was extremely terrible. The water is so dirty, there so much leafs, and bugs and grass just floating around there. Another issue with the lazy river is that, there’s to many kids literally jumping into the lazy river and literally swimming in it, which ruins the whole purpose of a lazy river. There’s no life guard standing by the lazy river telling you to stop like they do at Canada’s wonderland. Something positive about this is, you can bring your own water tube to the lazy river, as long as it’s not bigger then 40inch, your good!
This place also has a pool, but the pool is so small. The day I went, the water was heated which felt amazing, not sure if it’s due to the weather outside or if it’s naturally just heated water.
Overall, I wouldn’t return to this place. Kids are very annoying in the lazy river, and you can’t enjoy it, this place is overall crowded like crazy, and the main pool is small. The only thing I liked about this place is, you bring your own tube otherwise you could rent a tube...
