Have lived in West Kelowna for about 6 years but am recently discovering this absolute gem of a take-out restaurant on this side. Twice now have I visited Murray's Pizza and Pasta and each time received phenomenal food and service. On my maiden visit I wanted something unique and other than pizza or pasta. Murray's came through for me with a gyro wrap that tasted so authentic and delicious I nearly exploded from delight. The tzatziki sauce was some of the best I've ever tasted (home made perhaps?) The second time around I ordered the baked lasagna and was once again thrilled with the taste of the food. It reminded me of when I was a late teen when cheese was made from real cheese and not modified milk ingredients. The texture and the stretch of the mozzarella foretold a story of quality ingredients and their tomato sauce was just the right zest and zing without being too acidic. I hadn't gone there so many times before as they are a little tucked away on the less visible side of a strip mall but now that I am confident of their taste and value I will make this a more regular occurrence. I swear the Manager/Owner is the living embodiment of some patron Saint as every time I have gone in he thanks me verbally and also deeply with his eyes. We ordered 2 large pizzas and were told it would take 1 to 1.5 hours to be delivered. Reluctantly we accepted this unusually long wait time. However our guests were very hungry and had been away from their dog and home for many hours. We are located across Hwy 97 from Murray’s Pizza, not a far distance at all. We waited for two hours for delivery and when I called to asktheir delivery issue, I told the person who answered the phone that as our order was the first time with this company and having to wait for two hours and we still hadn’t received our order that they may consider doing something for us to keep our future business. The companies rep said that there would be a credit in our next order for the 2 large pizzas. All of a sudden, I’m assuming the phone was given to “the manager” asking if I wouldn’t mind repeating what I said to their employee. I repeated exactly what I had said as it was not derogatory or disrespectful in any way, told him what had transpired and the credit that was offered and the manager said to me, “ so how do you feel traumatizing a teenager?”. This was a ridiculous response under the circumstances. I did nothing of the sort and told the manager I didn’t want to do any future business with their company.
