Terrible rude server, she appeared to be the manager. I took my wife there for seafood fettuccine. I've eaten it several times at Whitespot in Langley BC, where it was delicious with large 2cm scallops & 21 count prawns. What was served to us did not at all represent this. The scallops were the size of pencil erasers with the same texture, the prawns were small shrimp, and it had tiny clams in it that don't belong in the dish. The pasta was cooked properly but impossible for the chef to not overcook this tiny substandard seafood. It appeared to be mixed frozen seafood used for soup base. Both my wife and I ordered the seafood fettuccine. The server brought my wife chicken mushroom fettuccine. When my wife told the server she had the wrong dish, the server said the chicken fettuccine was "her favorite." When I asked for some fresh ground pepper she rudely commented, "We don't do that here." By the time my wife had her order, I had almost finished mine. When I respectively showed the server how small and overcooked my seafood was and that it was not consistent with the Langley Whitespot, she rudely said, "What would you like me to do about it! " and walked away. She came back and said, "We order from the same supplier SISCO." Sisco is a restaurant supplier where you can order any size prawn, scallop They are obviously ordering substandard product not consistent with the franchise's menu. She also served me a glass of wine 5 minutes before the $6 happy hr, saying it was only $2 more, then charged me $13 over double. The attitude this server expressed to us and her other customers was appalling, and we were not the only wrong order, customers came in just as we were leaving returning their wrong order, commenting, " lesson learned". What an experience. I took my wife out for a nice dinner together, then watched each other eat, lol. I took some photos so you can judge for yourselves. Notice how small the prawns are, and the little round things are the scallops. Not sure this is what James Kennedy had invisioned when he created Whitespots new menu, or how he wanted his customers...
Read moreYou failed hard white spot. Ordered meals, wrong burger came for my wife, but bc she's gracious she said "I'll just keep this one, but there isn't any cheese on it." Waitress admitted she made and oops and entered the wrong burger, goes back to talk to the cooks about cheese, they argue with her saying there was cheese. She comes back, several minutes later, telling us that the cooks said the cheese "goes into the burgers" when cooked as if was some magic trick that the burger amazingly absorbs all the cheese. We show her that there's none.. no film, no discolouration of the beef, no gooey goodness....NOTHING, but we say yes, a piece of cheese would be great. she goes back, again, several minutes later I see our server speaking with the manager. Manager coughs DIRECTLY into her hand and proceeds on as if it didn't happen, touching my wife's plate, etc. Manager says the same thing the cooks said thru our server. Then she offers a piece of cheese for it... which was what we asked for 10-15minutes earlier, but by this time the burger is cold. So I get frustrated and enough was enough, and asked them to bring the correct burger that was ordered originally. Then, no rush was put on the burger so it was another 15min before we got the burger... the time we were ready to leave and our 2yr old was getting tired of being in the chair, and the rest of us were done eating. While this was happening, we can here the manager saying to the server across the restaurant, but loud enough for everyone to hear, that there was cheese on that burger and that's just the way it comes.. passive aggressive much? And to a lesser degree, we weren't given enough cutlery for our group and we had to ask for our daughters milk and dessert. The manager did give a 15% discount which was great and all, but by that time, the tone of our evening was toast. Super disappointing because it was our first dinner out as a family in over a year. We will not be going back. And eww seriously, who coughs into their hand and then keeps...
Read moreWe had a very bad experience today. After a lot of recommendations about White Spot we have decided to go for the first time and get an early dinner. The place was pretty empty. Our drinks were nice. We have ordered starter - coconut prawns. It was tasty with a really good sauce, but then it all went downhill. We have been sitting with an empty drink for the whole main course. Our server disappeared for a good 20 minutes. Even though there were probably more servers than customers. Actually, another server had to call our one, so we were able to pay and leave. Most of the food was tasteless, and she explained to us that they don't use salt in their meals! Like, really??? And they call it a restaurant? One of our mains was their new Waygu burger, and that was the worst. My husband adds on some mushrooms and soup. In total, it was about 27 dollars(!) for a meal. And he has got tasteless and chewy meat. Even those two slices of processed cheddar weren't melted! The soup wasn't bad, actually. We did finish about a third of the burger after both of us gave it a try. But it was just bad. The server asked if we wanted a different burger instead, but after this experience, we decided to go somewhere else. My burger was alright. Pattie was still saltless same as coleslaw. Unfortunately fries were lacking salt too, but we are used to that. However, we don't think that they were freshly fried. When we asked for a bill we had to pay full price for very poor food. I would expect at least part of the bill off. There was not even a small discount. I think that you'll get better burger in most of the fast-foods and for a third of the price!!! First and last experience...
