I had low expectations when I visited this restaurant, but I left pleasantly surprised and satisfied. Our group opted for the la table d’hote, and I must say I wasn't disappointed. To start, I ordered the du chaudron and went for the bisque d’homard, even though I'm not a big seafood fan. To my surprise, it was amazing. The choice of entrées was delightful; I had the Fondants de fromage de l'abbaye St-Benoit. While the plate presentation wasn't impressive, the flavors were surprisingly good, especially the salad with its delicious sweet sauce. For my main course, I chose the Bavette de bœuf grillée with sauce au bleu. I loved the sauce, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beef. This place definitely knows how to cook meat. I rounded off my meal with the pouding chômeur, which brought back childhood memories and was equally delightful. The only downside was the service. Our glasses remained empty, and no one checked on our basic needs. Nevertheless, I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant based on the delicious food and byob.

What a beautiful evening we had here. Service was impeccable and the food was amazing. We had the lobster bisque , then the gravlax de saumon ( I would take this as a meal instead of an entree it was sooooo good). My boyfriend took the coconut shrimp. For the main course I had the dorée with vegetables. The fish was cooked to perfection and the butter sauce was very tasty. And my boyfriend had the duck linguini. To finish it off we shared the grande Finale dessert plate with cheese and 3 desserts which were a creme brûler, a brownie with ice cream and a pudding chômeur. Can't wait to go back and try the other dishes. Since it's a bring your own wine, the price tag at the end of the night was very much worth it.

Not a great experience, started poorly and only got worse. I sit down and see my appetizer plate is dirty (see picture, 9:00), never a good start. The waitress was pleasant, helpful, and took our orders right away. Our lobster bisque soup came right away and was fine. Then they forgot about us!! After waiting another 30 plus minutes we finally asked where are our appetizers were (salad and smoked trout), These then finally arrived. After waiting another hour we finally had to get up and ask if our main course was Lost! Food was ok, but the wasted time NOT!! I will not be doing a repeat.

We usually go to the Magog (Comme chez soi).. They have great service..Amazing food ! Immediate service ! No waiting to be asked what we want .. Food is almost ready within 5 to 10 minutes.. And the food is amazing ! Going to Bromont we thought this would be a similar experience.. Oufff ! What a mistake.. Waiter was all smiles but overloaded..? Took forever to get our food. When the appetizer was served, it was cold .. Took something like 30 minutes to get our main meal after the appetizer.. That was a poor crisp piece of meat indeed.. We almost had to beg to get a refill (coffee) And when he did bring it.. He only gave a refill to the person whos asked for it. Rushed away before anyone could ask him for one. I had to go get him to refill everybody's (4 persons) some coffee.. I wanted to impress some friends with the quality of the Magog restaurant.. Should have went there instead.. Will never go there...
