Restaurant et bar St-Hubert — Restaurant in Bromont

Good evening,

I am not normally one who provides feed back when dealing with fast food or take out food as I have always believed that you shouldn't get your expectations too high. Today I could not say anything.

The background story:

Wife going for surgery so we are staying in a hotel while she gets it and recovers so we decide to order in because let's face it, who wants to do dishes at a hotel? First night we order from your St. Hubert location and from bite one to the last was everything one would expect from a famous chicken restaurant. Good poutine with chicken ( the fave of the night), the classic chicken meal for my wife and I with the ever so sweet crispy chicken sandwich that actually beats any fast food chicken sandwich I've had, which says alot..lol.

So the next night the thoughts of crispy chicken dancing in my head I figure.. well.. what better than the chicken platter? Crispy chicken strips, wings, sweet potato fries, and cheese sticks.. along with a cream of chicken soup for my wife and I.

The Good:

The delivery guy was pleasant and bilingual. The food came when expected. The soup was hot and yummy and no missing utensils.

The Bad:

The sweet potato fries... Still uncooked.. not frozen but in no way soft, or crispy or even really hot for that matter. Same went for the cheese sticks that were firm.. like a kids cheese sticks for school covered in cold, oily breading. Then there was the canary wings.. I mean chicken wings.. look.. I get that wings are not huge.. and to pump out as many as you do there are bound to be some small ones, but I'm not kidding when I say they literally were smaller than the soup crackers.. yes, literally.

The Ugly:

The over all presentation of the $20 platter was that of the $5 savings box at a local high school cafeteria at 5mins till end of lunch. It was tossed into a box without a care. I know it's take out and the presentation isn't always able to be there for the ever so plain Jane cardboard boxes, but this didn't look anywheres like the picture.. which sets the tone for the whole meal.

Look, I understand that in this Covid riddled world we are all just trying to make a living and things are not always what we expected them to be, but it is a vast and stark contrast between yesterday's meal to today... Which saddens me since you set the bar so high.

I hope this info helps make the next persons experience that much better because right now, I would hesitate dropping money down for cold fries and seconds chicken wings.

I'm only 10 minutes away, YET, I had to order at least $45 worth of food for them to deliver.. I work night shift; so when I woke up, they were the only place opened.. I had to order a second meal(which I'll eat tomorrow) AND a GD dessert to reach their minimum price requirement... AGAIN.. IM ONLY 10 MINUTES AWAY!!! Long story short.... after a generous tip(and the ridiculous bill).. I finish my meal to realize, they had forgotten my over priced dessert... Only way to get compensation... re-order at their insane minimum requirement... and then I can get a rebate for their neglect... Solution... never order from...

I have not been to a St. Hubert in a long time +10 years or so. The service at this location was spot on perfect. They really are running a tight ship. You might think they are behind, but they are not. Went with 4 adults and 4 children and we ordered a mix bag of food. From the hot chicken to the fish and chips. All of it was timed just right and came out together.

Also the Cole slaws that they brought out at the beginning of the meal were perfect to keep us occupied while they...
