Restaurant Vertigo Brossard — Restaurant in Brossard

Normally I don’t give reviews but this one had to be done. I’ve never seen service like this and I work in a restaurant as well. When I made the reservation I had made it clear that it’s a surprise and me and my friend will be coming later on to make sure that everyone was going to be there on time. The hostess said ok well we will put the reservation at 6 but I was arriving at 6:30 and that we had 2 hours to the table (understandable I do that too at my restaurant) WHAT I DIDNT EXPECT WAS THE OWNER OR MANAGER HARASSING MY FRIENDS SAYING YOU GUYS DO KNOW YOU HAVE TWO HOURS FOR THE TABLE. I couldn’t believe this because apparently he came by about 4 times and one of those times he had asked my friends if they could order for us while me and my friend still hadn’t arrived yet… Then when I had shown up he was at my table and almost ruined the surprise. The minute my friends told me what had happened I wanted to leave immediately but stayed to see how this was going to play out. When I had sat down he came over right away and asked us if we’d prefer to go outside when I had reservations for inside. We didn’t take our time to order our food but the waitress was no where to be found which stressed us out. We kept feeling eyes watching us wanting us to leave fast. The food took a while to come. As soon as the food arrived we stuffed it down our throats which wasn’t fair whatsoever. My friend who still hadn’t finished her salad couldn’t finish as the waitress came around to see her four times to check to see if she had finished her salad which in the end she didn’t as she felt too nervous and stressed. Something needs to be fixed here as I have never seen this type of behaviour before and coming from someone who works in the industry is something we have never done at my restaurant. At the end of the meal we asked for the checks and paid fast to run out of there and finish our at somewhere else for my friends birthday dessert. Neither of my friends or I will ever be...

I went to this restaurant for a first date. Do NOT go there unless you are very comfortable waiting in silence. We got in at 19:00 (07:00 PM) we waited by the hostess desk, making eye contact with every employee our eyes could reach. 19:08 (07:08PM) at last, the restaurant is nearly empty only 4 table ( including our). We got our menu, only by 19:26 (07:26PM) she got to our table for our order. Virgins Sangria and a 0% Beer, at 19:49 (07:49PM) they drop the beer but not my sangria… who the hell brings ONE of the drink and let the other hanging?!?!

19:55 (07:55PM) my date ask for my sangria… THÉ WORST DRINK THAT WAS EVERY MADE IN THE HISTORY OF MANKIND!!!!!!!

DO NOT ORDER ANY ALCOHOL FREE DRINK OR COCKTAIL!

I ordered the Peach Sangria Virgin They serve a peach flavoured sparkling water, lemon drop and ice… A Bubbly have more taste than that!!

One of the worst experience I’ve had and definitely not convenient for a first date.

20:00 (08:00PM) Our appetizer are there, at last! It’s delicious calamari, good temperature and very well presented. The waitress come say, everything is good here? Then leave before we say yes, I couldn’t tell her I was disappointed with my drink..It’s not normal that the pichet of water is empty but our cocktail full.

At 20:27 (08:27PM)… our food is on the table.my date’s Piri Chicken 🍗 Looks good but the dipping sauce is fridge temperature… did they forget to warm it up? Most probably.

My Mac&Cheese was delicious, but the waitress didn’t tell me that the plate was hot so I burned my finger first degree, now I have burn blisters on my index and thumb fingers.

The restaurant is beautiful, the menu is very nice and original yet familiar, the ambiance was great I wish I could have said the same about the service.

It was definitely not worth it.

Plus at the end she didn’t even ask why neither of us drank our beverages. She just charged us and...

The restaurant itself was really nice, the service on the other hand was very mediocre. We were four and the server immediately arrives and asks if we’d like to order a drink. One of us orders a mojito while the others take their time analyzing the menu. The server asks if she’d like to wait for the others or to have the mojito right away to which she replies she’d like it now. 25min later the server comes back without the mojito and takes the orders for the entrees and the others drinks. The woman again asks for her mojito to which he replies « it’s coming right up ». 20 min later the server arrives with our drinks (all of our drinks)….why even bother asking if she’d like it now when you bring it 45 min later.

Entrées are good, food is okay…another friend asked the server how the chef does the medium cooked bavette to which he replies that it is cooked as asked. She gets it cooked very rare (almost raw) and when she dares show the server he says « that’s how the chef cooks medium meat » and then leaves…he then brings us our bill….doesn’t ask us if we want a dessert or coffee…so we’re already on edge but we say whatever and try to continue enjoying our evening while we finish our drinks. Server than comes 5min later stating that we need to leave because people are waiting to be served. There’s about 5-6 tables beside us that are free. We then leave after finishing our drinks. We took a walk outside and walked past the restaurant about 30 min later and our seats were still empty.

Food is good but the service is really bad! Will definitely not be going back there. Not worth the...
