Cool experience, classy setting, but very decent price. You can definitely taste the quality of the ingredients. One of the waiter seemed a bit tired and came back to ask once or twice if he had forgotten something but I much rather someone admit their forgetting than clients waiting too long. I love how every table is decently spaced , much space for different kinds of crowd, or gathering. I highly recommend it. As an amateur of goat salad, I have to say this is genuinely the best salad I ever had. I have tried easily over 50 goat salads in various establishments in mtl and other cities but this one had something special. All of the textures were perfect. The cook or the prep, one thing I really applaud and I have noticed is how every single item is cooked the same for example a nut will have the same texture as the other nut in your meal, your meat will have the same texture, naturally in restaurant not everything is cooked but its just a fun little aspect I have noticed that deeply moved me. Also the beets were idk they seemed organic or that they were gathering them at a local place or somewhere where the beets had time to grow at their normal beets pace, and I tasted the earth, the soil almost (It was a truly astonishing experience). I would never dare say this about anything but I think I got a glimpse of what gourmet call "la madeleine de proust" but specifically about the beets in my salad and ironically I say this about something which I do not like except in goats salad or borscht. Cutlery was slightly "dirty" but not in an actual dirty way just not "cleaned with a cloth" but genuinely probably one of my fav southshore establishment. Also stunning little wine selection. And visible to the clients. Also the bar is quite pretty. Im curious what the setting would look like at night. Also the appetizers are a beautiful size :) not too small or too large *one thing that is extremely rare is that when I ordered the mussles and fries the fries were obviously best when hot but they stayed decently good in texture till the end of meal, I have quite literally nothing to say against any of the cooking techniques of every single ingredients I have tried ranging from roasted nuts to duck breast(magret).

I went to dinner with three colleagues at Chez Lionel in Brossard which borders on the 10/30 shopping centre development. The restaurant is bistro style and has a generally good atmosphere although the level of noise can be high. The night we were there, the entire restaurant was occupied with diners. As a group starter, we ordered the burrata and fried calamari. The calamari serving was acceptable but less than generous. As a main entrée, I ordered the medallion of venison which was served with blueberries, Jerusalem artichokes, Brussel sprouts and hazelnuts. The venison was very tasty but some of the vegetables were slightly undercooked. On the positive side, the service was excellent and I was asked if I wanted an English menu, as an English-speaker. I would give this restaurant a second try as the menu is quite interesting and it generally has a lot of potential.

The restaurant has a really nice ambiance and feels very warm. They even have tables outside of the restaurant, but inside of the building that they are in. So it's like an indoor patio. However, you don't get the same vibe that you would sitting inside the restaurant. The food was good, although we did wait over 30 minutes before getting our meals and the restaurant was not full. I would say that I enjoyed the taste in general. However the portions are small for the price that they charge. If the price is relevant to the ambiance, then it's ok. But I still felt hungry after having an appetizer and the cod dish. I finished the cod in 3-4 bites. The service was friendly and the restaurant is conveniently located right next to the Du Quartier REM station.

We had a reservation that had to be scheduled after normal dinner hour because it was fully booked before. We got to the restaurant and it wasn’t full, cancellation do happen. We waited a long time at the reception waiting for the hostess. While waiting, noticed a bucket with a mop at the reception counter in plain sight.

A waiter at some point said somebody would be with us shortly. We waited a while longer to finally have somebody ask if we were welcome. He noticed our discontent and immediately asked if we had a good day.

Once seated, noticed the light were low, rendering half of the table lit up and the other half in darkness. Had to use flashlight on our phone to read the menu. The server had what seemed too many tables and was struggling to get it all served, making the service long and tedious. The server was very friendly throughout the night.

Food was amazing, no complaints on the quality of the food. Server tried her best but forgot our coffee order at the end and had to be reminded so we could pay and leave.

The biggest complaint I will say is multiple times over the course of the time we spent at the restaurant, a bartender kept going up on the counter of the bar to get bottles of wine from the upper set up at the bar. His shoes on the counter, tip toeing and at full arms length trying to keep balance. No ladders were used when quite frankly this was dangerous and unprofessional for this type of restaurant. People would look at the bartender every time in shock. Could not see if he actually would clean the counter afterwards but we did noticed from even the distance we were at, different cleaning product bottle in plain sight near the middle of the bar area which should be out of sight to customers.

Sad because the food was really tasty, no complaints there… but the service and atmosphere needs to be improved...

Food was OK, nothing extraordinary but good enough. Portions (in particular, the fries) could be improved.

Service was not at all welcoming. We made reservations but as soon as we got in, we were told to keep in mind that we needed to leave the table after 2-2.5 hours, as there was other booking. The place was quite empty when we arrived and not full by the time we left. The waiter was pushy, we didn’t have time to properly look at the menu because he was passing by every few minutes to check if we were ready to order. Interrupting our conversation every time, and pushing for appetizers while we decided on what to order. I had not finished putting my fork down when he was grabbing our plates, then came back with the dessert menu and once we declined, the bills came while we were still finishing our drinks. We made the point of staying a bit longer after paying but we could see that they were constantly looking at our table.

The restaurant itself is the typical Dix-30 local, glass walls and mirrors everywhere, nothing special in terms of decor/vibe, large bar area, tables quite cramped and close to the next one. Although it got noisy when tables start to get busy, it was still not too bad to keep a conversation going.

Parking is only for 2 hours, I was a bit surprised to see this (at Dix-30). Parking was quite full as there are a bunch of restaurants next to each other. You could also use the hotel’s garage and apparently Chez Lionel covers it...
