Update for my 4th visit since opening and this hotel is still great. My favorite aspect is the pool with the huge mirror on the ceiling of the pool which is fun while swimming on your back. Parking is still included and generally easy in and out. Keep in mind that now that there are many condominiums in the area there is peak rush hour traffic periods which make getting in and out a bit more difficult. This is was poorly thought out road design by the developers of the area. The access to the REM and the Cineplex cinema across using the bridge is a great benefit for those want to catch a late movie without having to drive to the cinema as you can just walk across the bridge. The nearby restaurants surrounding the hotel are also really good options and I have enjoyed a few of them now. Every room in the Courtyard has a microwave so if you want to grab a frozen dinner from one of the nearby shops it's a great option. Check in and check out are always hassle free experiences.
On my first visit to the hotel within months of being open the receptionist was very friendly and answered all of my questions. I have now updated my review from 4 stars to 5 stars upon actually staying at the property. Staff were courteous and quick to answer all of my questions upon check in.
On the 2nd floor there is a 24/7 gym and there is also a pool with a decent view of the highway interchange. The pool room is great and I love that it feels a bit like a suana. The pool is apparently heated but feels cool upon entering due to the room being at a warmer temperature which I really enjoyed! Getting out of the pool after a swim feels very nice and you'll dry off quickly. The pool hours are from 8:00 until 22:00.
Soon to be connected to the REM train station when it's up and running. There still is not much open in the immediate area but I imagine there will be more restaurants and businesses open up in the next year. If you don't mind walking a little there is a cinema and shopping center nearby. Parking is behind the hotel and underground so it's protected from the elements and free for hotel guests for now. For the Marriott Bonvoy members at the Titanium and Ambassador levels there are dedicated parking spots available. As a Platinum member or above you will have a choice of 500 points or 10 USD for up to two to spend in the pantry. I was upgraded to the executive floor with my room preferences followed. There are not a ton of suites available due to the larger families booking them so only expect and upgrade to a suite during low season. I was very happy with my room on the executive floor.
My room had a coffee machine, microwave and fridge. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles are attached to the shower wall. The products smelled great and felt higher quality than the older disposable shampoos and conditioners used at other Courtyard properties.
Apparently the owner also owns the new Courtyard near Quebec City which I have also experienced and enjoyed. Hopefully more Courtyards of similar quality are built in other communities around...

We booked a hotel room for my wife’s wedding preparations months before the actual date check-in date (July). One of our criteria was the hotel must have a late check out. Some dont and it’s okay. At the time where we booked check in, the front desk confirmed that late check out was okay until 2pm.
The Marriott brand was one of the top brands, but this specific location has a management problem. We checked in on July 26, the front desk said we can’t guarantee the check out time so check again tomorrow morning. The next day (actual wedding day), we had a photographer and videographer on site for pictures and videos to start at noon to 14:00. Usually hotels have no problem helping out newly weds because it also promotes their brand and location to our guests. We were going Tag the Marriott to support that location on social media, but decided otherwise because of the problem they caused us.
Unfortunately, the front desk decided to decline our late checkout. My wife was over stressed because we needed those extra two hours we already confirmed with the photographer and videographer. It threw off our planning for the day. For the hotel, it was either take an extra day or get out of the room.
We pleaded with the manager but they kept saying they cant grant us late check out because the room was already booked. It turns out that was a lie. As soon as we mentioned we wanted the room for an extra day, it was granted immediately with no issue.
So we were forced to book an extra day just for 2 hours knowing we had no choice.
This was very frustrating as we try to plan everything in advance only to be deceived and stressed when they could have just informed us at the beginning that late checkout is not possible and is based on day by day basis.
I complained and spoke to the manager at this location who I thought would be helpful in understanding the issue. He didn’t offer any solution and blamed us for the problem.
I’m sure he will reply to this review without any resolution.
This was a communication issue from him and his staff and it’s not right how we were treated, especially on our special day. In fact, customer service at this location is non existent.
If you have to plan an event at this Marriott location, we highly suggest go somewhere else. There are more customer focused hotels that are more straightforward and willing to work with you to find solution when a problem arise. The manager and his staff only want your money and they will jump on that opportunity.
Summary +Rooms are okay and clean +Location is okay considering it’s in a new area -Customer service is non existent. If you have a problem, good luck! They see you as money, ready to squeeze every dime from you.
Save your money and time if you value customer service, go somewhere else where you will be valued as a...
Read moreI would have loved to give this hotel a better review but sadly I was left very disappointed in my stay. We came to Montreal for a sports tournament in order to qualify for that tournament we had to pick a hotel from a pre-approved list and this hotel was on it. We had at least 17 rooms booked for almost a week. The hotel did not provide an area for the team to meet in at night but told us we could use an area on the 2nd floor but no drinking. They told this to all 4 teams staying at the hotel needless to say it filled up quickly. They had many conference rooms on this floor but we were not able to rent them. Why? I'm not sure. The thermostat stopped working in all the odd numbered rooms for almost 2 days while our room was getting as hot as 30 degrees. When I asked about it I was told I could go in the heated pool to cool off or check out. I went back later when it was still not fixed and we were then offered a 25% discount on one night of our stay. Not everyone in our group received this same offer with being told to just check out then. At the check when I was asked about my stay I brought up my concerns and stated that the hotel wasn't really set up to host sports teams and as it was the main reason for our stay it affected our trip greatly. A manger overheard came over and told me if it was up to them they would never have sports team stay there. If that is the case then why was this hotel a required part of a sport tournament.
Edit, I forgot to mention that the housekeeping as well which is provided every 2 days was not provided as promised, leading many people from our group to go down to the front desk to ask for towels and toilet paper as our rooms had none. Some of us also emptied our own garbages as that was not provided for us as well.
If you are staying for business or not with your family the hotel is in a lovely area and makes staying in the Montreal area very walkable. If you are not then you need to accept a low level of customer service in the hotel that probably didn't want you...
